Clash of the Titans (March 26, Warner Bros. Pictures)

In “Clash of the Titans,” the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (April 30, New Line Cinema)

A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another…but when they sleep, there is no escape.

Jonah Hex (June 18, Warner Bros. Pictures)

Hex, known for having the right side of his face disfigured and wearing a Confederate army uniform, was a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter whose adventures always ended in blood. "Hex" first appeared in the early 1970s in the issues of "All-Star Western" before graduating to his own series in 1977 that ran for about 10 years. A new series was launched in 2005. The character also had a run in the 1990s that combined the Western genre with supernatural elements.

Friday the 13th Part 2 3D (August 13?, New Line Cinema)

All Must See

Not a huge fan of remakes...and slightly nervous for the new Nightmare. But Jackie Earle Haley looks pretty rad as Freddy. Also not a huge fan of CG, but the new Clash of the Titans looks amazing! One of my favorite childhood films. Friday the 13th remake was o.k. I just didn't like the giant rich person's cabin for the finale. Should have been a small, dark, and scary setting. Jason looked cool.

The only ones I'll end up see I would think is NOES and FRIDAY 2 3D.

I still can't believe they are remaking Freddy!? I really don't see how they will EVER replace Robert. I guess Friday 2 will be the same but only in 3D??

Dazedsmoke, if the Saw and Halloween films can wrap up a movie in less than a year, then any other big studio companies can. The F13 Part 2 script is done. We only need a director, cast and crew. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Okay.... I'll be seeing A Nightmare on Elm Street but if Friday the 13th Part 2 isn't confirmed yet I am not sure I want to risk it, I may end up renting it later.

jigkiller
11:21pm, January 5, 2010

Jason 2 (2010) has been confirmed!!, I can't wait to see it, I'm sure since it has to release on August 13th they won't do 3D since it takes awhile and they most likely won't film it until late February, Sure Jason killing people in the winter will be exciting!!!

jigkiller
11:22pm, January 5, 2010

Oh and since it will go against other 3D films it'll fail box office wise... maybe $40 million???

Finally A Decent Line Up

ELM STREET and CLASH for sure. HEX might be alright, I'll give it a shot if the trailer looks good. I really want to get behind FRIDAY 2 3D but can't just yet. FRIDAY remake was a letdown. What could have and should have been didn't happen, just so many holes and dumb ideas in the plot.

Why beat up on Friday? That was a good reboot for the series! It was much better than most of the original films. I want to see all of these. ANOES remake sounds to be GREAT! Hex looks okay. I don't care for Megan Fox's acting much and think it may hurt the film since she has a main character in it. The Clash remake looks amazing too!

I am defiantly going to see Nightmare on Elm Street because 1) I love the movie series (one of the most original ideas for a slasher horror film i personally think), 2) I love Jackie he is an amazing actor, and 3) well I can't think of a third reason but the movie looks epic. I want to see Clash because the original, although an interesting story line, just bored the living crap out of me. Also, I think that Clash, like Tron and a few others, was one of those movies that came out way before they should have. They came out when CG was still a baby and the graphics were horrendous so it will be nice too see how the story is told and how all the Gods and creatures look. Jonah Hex I will see cause I am a fan of DC and I like both Josh and Megan so it sounds intriguing. Friday...that one I am still on the fence with. I mean the first one was a good date horror film, where it has some scenes that will make your date cringe in terror and others that will have you both laughing and making out at, but I have no idea what direction they are going to go with the sequel and that scares me.

Just worried about the Nightmare remake. Does not look promising- just rehashed ideas
