Danielle Harris just broke the news on her Twitter that she'll be starring in Jim Mickle's Stake Land, the latest Dark Sky Films and Glass Eye Pix horror film. "just signed on to "Stake Land" !!!! Vamp's better watch the fuck out b/c here i come!!!!" In an earlier interview, Mickle stated, "it promises to do for bloodsuckers what Mulberry did for zombies — reinvent them in a gritty urban setting." Mickle directed the popular indie horror film Mulberry Street, while Harris can be seen in Rob Zombie's Halloween II this weekend. Check out the Stake Land teaser trailer below.
Oh god no! - "it promises to do for bloodsuckers what Mulberry did for zombies — reinvent them in a gritty urban setting." I rented Mulberry Street and had to turn it off because it was so ridiculously cheesy. Ratmen...lame concept. Hopefully Stake Land is good...it has Danielle Harris so I'm in!
Mickle can direct. Dark and gritty and straight off the street, like Mulberry. Sick promo, and Danielle can only make it eye glue. I did a positive review on Mulberry Street reporting from Tribeca in 2007 - the official BD review didnt see what I saw in it I dont think. Im glad to see Mickle taking his skills and evolving further with it. That teaser looked fuckin cool. I like what new filmmakers like West and Mickle are doing
they dont make vampire movies like they used to!!!!i might wait for the dvd
