is there any reason why they wont release the footage? by all accounts it seems people loved it so it would only help their cause here.

here is the info of Halloween 2 SDCC: Dourif to Have a Larger Role in Halloween II In the world of Rob Zombie's Halloween II, anything goes. The writer-director has no blueprint or rules to follow this time. As he's stated on this site before, he had creative freedom this time out. And one of the aspects we've been speculating about is who, in his world, are we expected to see more of? Loomis? Annie? Laurie? Try Sheriff Brackett. Rob Zombie confirmed to me this afternoon that you can expect to see more of actor Brad Dourif reprising his role as Haddonfield's keeper of the peace. But you'll find him in a shabbier condition than when we last saw him. "Brad's very important to the movie," Zombie exclusively tells ShockTillYouDrop.com. "Last time, you couldn't fit too much with him. Here you have your survivors. Laurie Strode moves in with Sheriff Brackett and Annie. That's the core of your movie. For Brackett, Brad grew his hair long and he's all rough looking. He's old, he's worn out, he's just this beat-down guy with these two girls he can't deal with. Brad must have that in his real life because he latched onto it. He was like, 'Man, I can relate to this. I'm getting old.' He really bonded with those two girls. He didn't have a lot to do in the first film but here he really digs in. There's classic Brad Dourif in this." As for the status of Halloween II, "We tested it last week in New York and now we're finishing the movie, editing. Next week we'll test it in L.A. The screening went really good. I just try to sit in the audience and feel the vibe." The film opens in theaters on August 28. More with Zombie to come!

Why did this guy recording turn away during the teaser and how was the audio so terrible? At least the crowd seemed to love it. What a load of crap that it's not being released. First we are told 2 Freddy pics are coming and we basically get cheated there because you can't see Freddy's face and now they want to keep this teaser top secret for some reason. Do you something for the fans instead of the constant teasing.

What sucks even more about the audio is that the dumbasses(I'm thinking the camera man or someone right next to him) starts to talk about stuff. It's like, "Shut the hell up and just watch the freakin trailer! THEN, after it's over, talk.". But yeah, the audio distortion sounds like crap. You can hardly make out any of the voices because the audience's cheering drowns them out(I could barely make out Freddy's final line). The only thing I could really make out was the "1, 2, Freddy's coming for you..." rhyme and that messload of screaming. One of the screams reminded me of that blond chick from Cabin Fever who gets locked in the shed. When she screamed "Don't leave me!". That's how some of the screaming sounded.

Damn... that audio might be shitty quality... but you can still hear some creepy bits. "Ready or not.. here I come." was creepy as SHIT.

Thanks for the audio, better than nothing but the guy recording should have left the camera up! the tremble and bass really fucked the audio up.

i am pissed they aren't releasing the footage. What makes the comic con audience more loyal than us other fans...just because they're there??? Not fair at all...... so im expected to buy a ticket to the states from New Zealand and then get in to comic con just to watch the trailer.... WARNER BROS HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THE OTHER LOYAL FANS OUT THERE AND RELEASE THE TEASER... and that audio clip was crap..couldnt hear a damn thing, and why did the idiot put the camera down? what a freak

doug514
12:45am, July 26, 2009

i know i already posted here but i am fuckin pissed.....firstly, not 1 swingin sissy dick could catch the footage for us and then the dickhead holding the camera decides to put it down so we can only hear the trailer which sounded fuckin awesome im surprised.......we get 3 shitty fuckin pictures of freddy, dont even show his face and then a big fuck you we arent showing the footage to the public. well fuck you platinum dunes!!!! They should have this footage out to the public instantly just because the idiots decided to remake a classic movie that should never be touched and thus should feel they need to prove themselves as soon as possible with this teaser. BD let these people know we are fucking fumeing

Dose anyone else think the body bag part is the best part?

Doug514 I agree with you. Its fkn retarded I bet you its some lame ass marketing tool. Sorry I'm broke and didn't wanna drive my ass to San Diego. They should put it online for us hardcore Nightmare fans to watch. And that asshole shouldn't have put the camera down I mean c'mon. Its making me pissed not eager anymore. Its making me hate Platinum Dunes and I'm a fan of most their films.

Forget officially released footage, why the hell hasn't anybody who was there at least leaked the footage by now. You mean to tell me nobody in the damn audience recorded the damn trailer, jesus, there's twilight footage all over freakin youtube, and i cant even see the teaser trailer which apparently doesn't allude to much in the first place.

DogCarcass

Of the original, screamking88? It's definitely up there. One of the creepier parts for sure... and glad to see it's in the reboot/remake/what have you.

Doug514, I agreed with you until the "well fuck you platinum dunes!!!!"... Seriously.. Do a little bit of reading before you run off at the mouth.. It is not Platinum Dunes doing the holding back, it's Warner Bros. From the sound of it, Fuller, Bayer and Haley are extremely proud of the footage released at Comicon.. What makes you think they'd purposely hold it back from the true fans: the horror community..? There are more people that have their hands in this project than just Platinum Dunes and obviously the right-holders have final say.. Side note: Awesome that you chose to toss a bit of whine in at the end there.. It's being remade.. Deal with it!

kingofrock667
3:06am, July 26, 2009

Hey, why don't we all rent or buy Wes Craven's original on 4/30/2010 and send the message that Hollywood needs some original horror instead of remaking perfectly scary films!

freddys_comin_for_you
3:44am, July 26, 2009

alright im gonna give it a chance but im gonna judge it very hard. but wtf to all the people who are like "deal with the remake." like cmon the orphan is making huge noise and people say its fuckin amazing, the collector looks real good and drag me to hell was awsome and these werent remakes were they? no! but made big bucks and all they require is a lil bit of thinking. we are mad because this perfect movie is getting remade and not even the original writter wants this. its like hollywood hasnt run outta ideas theyve just found an eaiser way to get money. all we want is a new blockbuster horror film not a remake!

kingofrock667, count me in on the boycott. Platinum Dunes always bringing the unnecessary and uninteresting.
