Yep, can't really tell the "freddy-ness" of him, but the mood of the shot is impressive. I like that they're staying away from a "speed racer" bright color scheme, and aesthetic. I like the claws, the chalkboard, the feel of the whole thing. Just could use more freddy face.

I just wish there werent so much shadow. But still we can see the new Freddy. I like the claws as well. They look bad ass. Same here. I'm not impressed. I could've done without the pic. I hope the pic at IGN this afternoon will be great. However, I am glad they kept the sweater and hat. I was thinking they were going the New Nightmare direction in terms of apperance.

Oh! If you go to the myspace homepage and click on the "Featured" tab- look at the preview pic! It shows light hitting his face! They purposely darkened his face in the full thing.

The skin is pulled and misshapen, flesh-toned in places and red-raw in others. Patches of green-rubber suggest areas of deeply worn sinew along the cheeks and jaws, executed in post-production, suggesting something similar to the gaping wounds in Dark Knight's Harvey Dent. The ears are almost non-existent, but the eyes are unobscured, allowing Jackie to emote effectively. In fact, the whole look, while horrifying in one context, is also, in another sense, rather sympathetic and wholly real.
