Remaking Scream already? Seriously now, what the fuck. What's next, a remake of the remake of Halloween? I used to be onboard with all these remakes, but ever since I saw that they were doing a Predator remake, and then an Alien remake, it been really pissing me off. Stop this nonsense already.

This is bull! It depresses me to know that these idiots that run studios have no respect for their film. Scream is very recent! Stop your screaming and start your weeping. Film ideas ended in 2000. Now in the noughties, everything has been done that the human race is eating itself.

The trilogy is barely 10 years old and they are already remaking it? WTF this is the dumbest news I've read in a longgggggg time. I don't even think asking why is appropriate though.

I don't get how they can ask The three of them to return and have it be a reboot. I think it is technically Scream 4 but they don't want to call it that.

I think they mean it's the start of a new trilogy with all new characters, not a follow up to 3.

Kevin Williamson surely is smart enough NOT to reboot a franchise that is not that old and clearly doesnt need to be 'rebooted'. I say it will be Scream 4. As if the original cast would come back for a reboot. Fuck, I hate that term !!!

Isn't Scream only 13 years old? Hell didn't the last sequel just come out 7 years ago? This seems a bit weird to me, considering Scream is the only horror movie that's being remade that I SAW IN THE THEATER. I was either not born yet or too young to see any of the others.

I think it is basically the sequel/reboot with the 3 main characters for a cameo, or brief appearances in the story(ies) and then the set of IT actors in the movies with the killer wearing ghost face, but have nothing against the three characters from original trilogy. These days sequels don't sell ! So reimagining, reboot are the right words to get people's attention

they should do the same thing with Saw...instead of another sequal, they should put out a rema...sorry.."reBOOT" of the first film, and then a year from it's release re..boot... Saw 2! It'll be a never ending cycle of remakes!!!....I MEAN REBOOTS!! REBOOTS!!!

It could be good... if they actually satirize the remake trend with a remake. I mean the sequels made fun of sequels, so then the "reboot" should make fun of remakes. Right?

I don't get why they are having the old cast come back. I guess I need to see how hit pans out. If they bring them back to kill them, I won't be happy @ all. I was happy with them Alive. No one left I wanted dead.
