As promised MTV has posted the first ever clip from Rob Zombie's H2: Halloween 2, which features one of Michael Myer's (Tyle Mane) attacks on Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton) on a dark and stormy night. Does Strode make it out alive? Looks like we'll have to wait until August 28th to find out as the clip cuts off right when... read on to find out! Don't forget to lay your eyes on the first trailer, maybe some clues are hiding within?

This is a first. I'm not number 27th to comment on a Halloween news piece lol. That being said, I thought the clip was really good. I wouldn't say it was all that intense, cause you could tell there were somethings cut out of it to fit, but usually what people cut out for clips ends up making the scene alot better. I will admit though, I do get this vibe that Rob Zombie did make this film darker like he said he would. I know that this is probably not a good clip to get that vibe from, but still. And I'm also happy that he isn't remaking Halloween 2. He's doing his own thing, which means he can do what he wants to do freely, without having to follow a certain code or rule like he had too with the first movie. And I will totally admit, I like the part of the film where he explains why Micheal did it and how he ended up that way more than I did him basically reshooting scene from the original only with newer people. Because he told his own version of how he thought Micheal was and to be honest it was a good version, despite what others may say and they are entitled to their own opinion. And now that he is making his own Halloween sequal, I know he will make it intense and so much better than the first. After all, does anyone not remember that Devil's Rejects was so much better then House of 1,000 Corpses, both in story, acting, and intensity. If there is one thing I believe Zombie can do, he can make a good sequal.

That's what I'm talking about. That was very intense. Can't wait to see how she gets out of that one. August 28th seems so far away.

Looks... EXCELLENT. Atmosphere... intensity... EVERYTHING. Obviously from the hospital attack at the beginning of the movie. Can't wait for this one now.

Awesome! So I'm thinking this is all a dream sequence. The first seconds of the trailer we see her running. She then runs out of the hospital and then this scene happens. Right when this clip ends, when Michael's about to kill her, I'm expecting Laurie to wake up from the dream. That's just my two cents. I hope it's not a dream sequence, but I really think it is. But I guess we'll find out in August. :)

Interesting theory, Thunder Dragon... But I think that this actually happened... and Scout has a dream about it because she's so haunted. It would be kinda lame to open it up with a 15 minute dream sequence... better if it at least actually happened.

fuckin' hell yeah! Can't wait for this at all....I'm an extra in the movie.

Im going into this movie with very low expectations, I built up the first one a bit much and was very disappointed.

ThunderDragoon
1:33am, May 25, 2009

Yeah I agree, DogCarcass, it would be lame to open it up with a 15 minute dream sequence.

djblack1313
2:04am, May 25, 2009

i agree. i think she's dreaming about what ACTUALLY happened to her. but i think she'll wake up just as the axe comes down on her and DeAtHmAgIcK1990, i'm glad i didn't imagine that it looks like snippets of this scene were edited out! LOL. it this scene is ALREADY cool, imagine how cool it's going to be intact?!

it's a dream!

WalkingDeadGuy

I hope it isn't a dream sequence, before I saw any actual film footage I thought Lauri was going to be the killer in this one. Rob kept telling us how fucked up Lauri Strode is from the events of the first film. I dunno, all I know is I HATE Sheri Moon as "living dead girl/ghost/Michael's imagination" It's lame and it's been done (Ginger Snaps 2)

To: Weinstein Company/Rob Cummings To: Robert Bartleh Cummings (A.K.A. Rob Zombie) CC: Malek Akkad, Bob & Harvey Weinstein Weinstein Company LLC 345 Hudson St., 13th Fl. New York, NY 10014 RE: Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 We, the undersigned, ask that Robert Bartleh Cummings (A.K.A. Rob Zombie), director of Weinstein Company/ Dimension Films upcoming motion picture “H2: Halloween 2” reconsider the decision to take the sequel of the re-visioning of Halloween and The Halloween Franchise in the direction in which it has been directed. We feel that Rob Zombie’s 2007 Re-visioning of Halloween took the film and franchise in a wrong but still salvageable direction. From the information provided by Robert Cummings on the sequel to that motion picture and the trailer released to the internet on youtube.com and movies.yahoo.com. It is clear that he is taking the Halloween franchise further down the spiral from which many fans feel there will be no return. We feel that from the scenes of the trailer and information provided the film looks to be a mimic of a few combined horror motion pictures. We also feel that his casting of Sheri Lyn Skurkis (A.K.A. Sheri Moon Zombie) is not based on acting ability or merit, but due only to the fact he must cast his spouse in every motion picture he directs. Sheri Moon should be omitted from the cast and those scenes be corrected. Another major concern for us fans is that it has been reported by Robert Cummings, other cast and news that Michael Myers will not be wearing the classic William Shatner based mask or any altered or re-envisioned concept of that mask for 70% of the feature motion picture. We the fans ask that Mr. Cummings re-write and re-shoot the film with the deletion of the mentioned scenes and/or plot. We feel that Michael Myers is 100% evil without cause and should be left at that conclusion. If the film is released as it now stands it will without a doubt destroy the entire franchise and become a mockery of what Debra Hill, John Carpenter, Moustapha Akkad, Tommy Lee Wallace and so many others have immortalized in horror motion picture history. Sincerely, Halloween Fans www.petitiononline.com/robzh2/petition.html

I think this movie gonna be good. But why is it Zombies wife has to be in everything he does even if she don't fit? Granted she is nice to look at but, this ghost thing is lame. I guess its in their contract of marriage that she has to be in everything he does no matter what! Even if it doesn't make sense.

I know im gonna enjoy this crazy shit. Hope its really twisted and brutal. I dont care about the plot as long as myers butchers loads of idiots indescriminately.

everyone left from the last movie will get killed by myers in the first ten minutes and then come back as ghosts telling myers to hunt down and kill all rob zombie haters.

Hey Halloween franchise: where else are they going to take this franchise? there's fuck all else to do with it! what do you want, micheal on the moon? Micheal in cyber future? Micheal goes to the circus? A carbon copy of the original? Myers is just an invincible killer driven by an evil force. He kills people, comes back and does it all again. Its the same with Voorhees. The F13th remake was pretty much the same old stuff with better effects and filming. Same with chainsaw massacre. Rob zombie did that with the first remake. At least it looks like h2 is going to explore the psychological aspect of things. It has to change or the franchise will just be the same old stuff repeated over and over. The only other direction is to join freddy vs jason and that will never happen because the studios are to greedy to share. I do understand your concers about losing the original mask and I think they should actually just hire william shatner and paint his face white. Or cut off his head, paint it white and stick it on a robot body.
