Thanks to the wonderful world of bootlegging, the trailer for Rob Zombie's H2: Halloween 2 has found its way online and can be viewed beyond the break. The trailer features Daeg hiding under a mask, a screaming blonde Deborah Myers (as a ghost?) and helicopters. Enjoy. You can check this puppy out in HD tomorrow on Yahoo! Movies. It was ok until I saw sheri moon. I know she's your wife rob, but she fucks up your movies dude. I'll watch it, but no high expectations here. I hope I get surprised. However, I hope this movie isn't shite, because I really like the t-rex movie idea. Bikers from hell v. Pro wrestler, you can't fuck that up.
Hmmm still not sure on how to feel about the movie. I know its Rob ideas and how he sees Michael in his world and we are all so used to seeing Michael either chase Jamie Lee Curtis or his niece Jamie Lloyd but I will give it a shot. What if Carpenter had made these films back in the 70's and 80's the way Zombie is now, do you think we would be saying the same thing? I think a lot of us would be saying they were classics just the times have changed.
This doesn't make much sense. Why would Michael's mom be telling him to kill Laurie? Either that's a reversed copy of Friday the 13th (God bless you Mrs. Voorhees) or for some reason the mother had a grudge against her daughter...
This is certainly very different from the last one but after seeing this i am feeling even more certain that Rob is steering Michael down a different road than the one we all know and love. An intricate ghost backstory? When we started getting into Freddy's backstory... what happened? he started sucking. I just hope i am wrong because in terms of scares and action this looks pretty sound.I'll see both the films this August. Hey, why have one and not the other, right?
At first glance, pretty lame. I'll have to check it out tomorrow to see if I change my mind. What's up with Zombie's wife as a ghost? That's why I think it looks lame. But, I won't judge it or say anything negative until I see the movie.
I think it looks pretty decent, when the HD comes out tomorrow (if it really does) it should help get a better idea.
As for Sheri Moon's role, to me it looks like this movie will be touching even more on the internal aspect of michael myers. I think when Sheri is on the screen you will be seeing that metaphorical "hamster on the wheel" in his mind, really seeing what makes him tick.
This could be a good twist...
Poster above is right, I think. Deborah would seem to be a ghostly presence in the demented mind of MM. I think Sheri really stands out as this ghostly vision, though it would be a miracle if all the cool kids could put aside their knee-jerk loathing because she's Rob's wife. In any event, the most anticipated horror film of the year just got even hotter.
