Daeg Confirms His Exit From Haddonfield, New Image

Over on his official MySpace page, Daeg Faerch confirmed the news we reported last night that he has officially been recast as young Michael Myers in Rob Zombie's now filming H2. "SADLY, although I was contracted to reprise the role of young Michael Myers in the upcoming H2 (Halloween 2, 2009) after filming briefly on the set in GA, I am to be recast due to my increased height," reports Daeg. Beyond the break you can check out an image of Daeg on set with Rob and Sheri Moon, a scene I'm assuming will be cut from the final film when it hits theaters August 28th.

He doesn't look so different to me. I'd give anything if they didn't have these apparent drawn out flashbacks at all.

Why on Earth is this kid back?! .... Rob Zombie is the worst thing that ever happened to Halloween!

That's too bad because Daeg was an awesome Michael! I hope to see him in more films!

This really sucks. It's seems kind of stupid that DEAG height would be an issue when Tyler, who's playing the adult version of Michael Myers, is almost 7 feet tall. If anything, his height would make it more believable IMO.

The reason they want the young Michael Myers is because they want to do flashbacks. The reason they want to do flashbacks because that's the only time they can show Michael's mother(Sherri Moon). Seriously, everything we needed to know was shown in the first movies. Additional fleshing out isn't needed, and the only real reason why they're doing it because Sherri's got Rob's balls in the palm of her hand.

That's too bad, Daeg played the character realy good. Hopefully they can still use some of the scenes he shot though.

This really could make or break the movie...I really don't like it.

Ugh, Daeg was awful!!! Come on people.

Couldn't they just recast Michael younger and use Daeg for the teen years. The film is going to suck anyway.

Rob should use daeg for Micheal's teen years, hire a look a like for younger Micheal, And fix it to where Sherri missed and grazed herself and is locked up in a padded cell dealing with the flash backs.

Man, I can't wait for Rob Zombies "H3: Season of the Witch"...

Daeg did a good job. My only complaint about how RZ handled his childhood was that I thought he talked to much and was not withdrawn enough. I would have preferred him more reclusive and respond with more one word answers or nothing at all. Leave some mystery to his behavior. But overall, I still thought this was an entertaining twist to what Carpenter did.

Honestly....they could just be saying the height thing as an excuse in the chance that they're just unhappy with Daeg's performance in the film thus far and they want someone else. After all, are you really telling us that they contracted him for the sequel, brought him to set, filmed a few days with him, AND didn't think to check and see if a young teenager had grown ANY in the 2 years between filming part 1 and 2? That's BS.

Do we really need Zombie to delve into Michael's childhood again?

i agree w/ J_BLUNT that having a taller young Michael would make his transition to the 10 feet tall adult Michael more believable.

bdwolfe312, in case you haven't noticed, the rebooted H1 and H2, in retrospect, will be seen as the new "Season of the Witch." That bad. I have to say, though, hats off to the trailer editor who cut the initial teaser of RZ's H1. It actually looked GOOD and left me begging for more. Little did I know, as some trailers tend to be, it was very misleading. I'll never forget when "Love Hurts" blared out of the theater speakers and had everyone at The Grove theater unintentionally laughing their asses off. It's too bad undiscerning audiences buy into this shit and put it up on a pedestal, which only feeds into this shit-fest frenzy.

If there is a HALLOWEEN 3 I hope they include Micheal. HALLOWEEN III: (Season Of The Witch) is know as a flop. Not that I did'nt like some of it, but we all know thats why Micheal came back in part 4. Without Micheal the HALLOWEEN movies are nothing. I liked the story line for season, it just did'nt have Micheal and that hurt it big time.

I hate flashbacks more than my own shit! Is he trying to remake his remake? Move on Rob. Hlll-Season of the Witch is far more interesting in concept.

they should cast the dancing baby from the 90s

like someone said before, what do we need to see what we didn't get from the first movie. I don't wanna see flashbacks with a different actor. Zombie does flashbacks it should be done in the hospital with Daeg. Does he really need to throw his wife back into this movie?

twistedbitch

Hopefully the flashbacks aren't over done in this movie. He needs to move on. I really don't see the need for the flashbacks but I will just have to wait and see the movie. I really hope it turns out good.

I think Daeg is awesome and I'm totally disappointed he's not going to be in the new movie,

his mom shot herself after he killed the nurse in the first, a bigger daeg wouldn't work.
