Arriving in theaters on March 13 is Rogue Pictures' The Last House on the Left (trailer), a film I think many horror fans are going to be surprisingly happy with. To get you more excited, we've embedded two brand new TV Spots for the remake of Wes Craven's classic film beyond the break. In the flick John and Emma Collingwood are on vacation at their lakeshore house when, by a bizarre twist of fate, they give shelter to the sociopaths who have just assaulted and nearly killed their daughter. Upon discovering the truth, they exact a chilling revenge on her attackers...

I think this might be good, the tv spots look good. Should be interesting to see how this film plays out with the daughter actually living, unlike the original.

FUCK REMAKES (they're only good in ensuring a quality dvd release for the ORIGINAL) .... for every remake that makes bank, something original gets tossed (straight to dvd, or put back on the shelf in development hell) .... if this keeps up there will be nothing original to the horror genre!

This looks awesome!

I like the premise, but this doesn't look all that interesting to me. The original was okay, but nothing great.

I am interested to see what they do with this one, the acting in the first one was so bad on the parts of the sociopaths(even for a horror movie) it almost made it unwatchable.

Can't say this appeals to me, considering I didn't care much for the original. As premises go, it's not really horror, it's just more torture porn. But as a horror fan, I've pretty much gotta see it at least once.

Word darkamor, couldn't agree more.

I think this is looking good. If they ignore the parts with the bumbling cops, this will in some ways be superior to the original.

What in Gods gracious name is with all the remakes. The second they decided to do this, the horror genre just lost one of its balls.

I liked the original. I think because at that time people weren't always exposed to things like that. I am hoping this movie does turn out good.

How on earth could they exact a chilling revenge if the dudes don't kill their daughter????? I just don't make sense to me

I agree about the sheriffs in the original -- they were too distracting for me, and actually lessened the intensity of some of the scenes....so just (hopefully) changing that part of the original, in my opinion, you already have a better film... I am excited and ready for this one to come out!!!

To All Those Bitching About Remakes: Don't watch them! No one is twisting your arm. Obviously there is a market out there for them, and they will continue to be done. Remakes are a staple, like it or not. Some of the BEST films have been remakes - John Carpenter's The Thing totally kicked ass...and was a remake. Ironically, those complaining about all the remakes probably will watch them to give themselves something to bitch about. Stop whining and come up with an original screenplay yourself if you are tired of remakes, however it looks as though remakes are never, NEVER going to go away.
