They show some awsome stuff in the trailer but with a rating saying for SADISTIC Violence I bet we are going to see some wild violence they are not showing in the trailer.
This looks really good. If there is one movie that needed a remake, The Last House On The Left is it. Im sorry, I own the original and that film is just awful. Everything from the music in it, all the way to the actors. I know it came out in the 70's but still...come on. It's just not a very good film at all, it sucks hands down. Also love the song in the trailer, it fits very well.
I keep looking at the poster for this and it just doesn't fit for me...
'Lake ends in the road'
That confuses me shouldn't it be road ends in the lake.... sounds like that's more right I mean it'll mean like dead end and lake ends in the road sounds sooo dumb I imagine me on a boat in the water then like boom my boats sliding across the gravel road and I see the sign 'Lake ends in road.'
They really should have remade the song from the original. this one is ok. the other one would have been badass. I think they gave away to much. they only thing that can come from this how the baddies will die, or if they will even die. that's a good twist; the baddies get away.
The trailer to this film looks phenomenal, I agree with everyone else that the soundtrack is not that fitting but I get the purpose it serves, sweet child of mine calls out the cries basically from the family of their slain daughter and when they get their revenge it is by far way more than I disnh served cold. Wes Craven took horror to a whole new level when he relesed the original in fact it was banned for may years in some parts of the states because of how controversial it was, and it;s over the top insane as well as intense violent scenes. I feel that this film is highly anticpated and is likely too be good but I will have to say it is cgoing to take a lot to come even close to the original because that was seriously frightnening to me and I know that it has left permanent memories since the very first day I saw it.
To Mrs.Disgusting, I never this one is awesome. The trailer is awesome. The old one though wasn't scary to me. It was a pathetic attempt on horror. I'm not seeing this one either because I'm sure it will be just as stupid... I just think the trailer was well put together...
wow to the comment on the top

I HATE THE MILLENNIUM
This movie looks freaking awesome... I watched the watched the original when I was 13 (I'm 15 now) and thought it blew... Don't know why you all thought it was amazing... This remake looks fuckin sweet. Much better than the original. Also, for the people who are saying they are scared of it not being R, maybe you should pay attention and at the beginning of the trailer it says it's rated R...
Doesn't look TOO bad. Still skeptical on how raw they keep it. However, I would much rather have some changes in a 'remake' then to just make the SAME damn film over again. I don't mind 'remakes' as long as one is able to put somewhat a different spin on everything. (I.E. "Dawn of The Dead" & "Assault On Precinct 13")
"If Someone Hurt You Love" That dosint make sense. and the microwave scene at the end, would that woek because dosin't the door have to be closed in order to work?. The movie looks pretty good though, good story.
I've been hearing about this remake for so long and I was finally presented with a trailer when I saw The Unborn( whiched sucked, laughing whole time) and it looks promising I liked the song picked and the look of the movie I just hope it's as disturbing and creepy as the original but the original is talked about as so gory annd everything when it's really not but it was a badass movie!!!
Yawn. The original covered it all in every way necessary, no need for a remake.
I doubt they'll cut down on the 'rape' and 'brutality' you all miss so much, they just needed to leave SOMEONE out of the trailer since they gave away every other minute detail of the movie.
They also seemed to have changed a lot for no real reason. It's like Suspiria and Old Boy- they were perfect the first time around. Back the fuck off and make your own movies. Note I don't think Wes Craven had very much to do with THIS movie, though his name is slapped on the trailer. He did the original- they probably called him in for some supervision for the name recognition and to draw more people to the theaters.
Sucks.
it doesnt look that bad actually.
we've all seen alot worse.
too bad it revealed the whole plot to everyone who may not have seen/heard of the original.
One thing that bothers me is that the father seems too cold and unsympathetic. In the original you felt the outrage, rage and catharsis, and finally grief.
Looks alright, but it kind of looks like it was watered down from the original as far as the rape and violence goes which i find quite upsetting. They made it more accomidating for the traditional movie goer it looks like and that sucks. Ill still prolly go see it and give it a shot cause i love the original so...
uuuuh, this trailer kinda rubbed me the wrong way. It has a totally different feel than the original and I think it may be even too modern. This looks WAY more complicated. The simplicity of the original added to it's charm. With the overwhelming amount of remakes I think this will just get lost in the mix. Also, I wonder why every remake has to be set in present day. I think that its not until people see an over produced remake just how effective the low budget original was. But then again I think most people that will see this won't ever have seen the classic.
With Wes Craven as producer, it should be at least decent... looks legit. What's up with that Guns N' Roses cover? It wasn't too bad, but you can't butcher Sweet Child O' Mine!!!
Wow now i actually think this is going to do good. like i saw some pics and a poster before and i thought this was bad. i hope to god im wrong! after seeing this preview.
doesn't look half bad hopefully the movie is just as good as the trailer the original was one of my favorites, someone should have redone the original song for last house of the left that song was awesome
