We posted our review for Lionsgate's My Bloody Valentine 3D earlier this week, but now it's your time to shine. After you see Patrick Lussier's remake in theaters this weekend, report back here to B-D and write your own review. The latest reviews are always featured on the main page to your right (go take a look). So go register now and get your thoughts up on the site. In the remake Tom (Jensen Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the life of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders.

It was unbelievable. I liked the update better than the original. This one is much more brutal with twists and scares that weren't in the original and seeing it in 3D was a bonus to that... the only word you can use to describe it is BRUTAL! Go see it immediately!

Terrible...acting sucked ass, dialogue was just brutal. Can The Miner please kill someone by not using the pick axe? Go watch the original....it's better.

Yea, dialogue is horrible. I don't think the actors ever stood a chance of trying to act through that crap. Shittiest ending twist ever. 3D is great though. Some of the kills are great too. Used the Pick Axe way too much. I say, pay for half the ticket, watch the first 45 mins then leave, You'll feel better about it.

not a bad movie but not new classic or total fav either (and this is one movie i've been jonesing for since i heard it was being made!). most of the acting was good (Jamie King and Kerr Smith are excellent. Betsy Rue was pretty good too! hey i rhyme!). the gore is fun and intentionally over the top. i LOVED the couple of nods of the hat to the original's kills/scenes. there's a total WRONG TURN *cough* homage/kill which was fun. overall i really like the movie. it's definitely one of the more fun movies to come out in forever.

SPOILERS The original MBV is my second favorite horror film of all time so I am biased in writing this. I've never commented in forums about anything but i was so disappointed how Patrick "directed" and Todd "wrote" this film that I had to get on here. If this movie was solely intended to be a gory comedy than this team delivered. The movie wasn't scary, nor creepy nor had the mean spirited tone of the original. The movie was terribly miscast! To put the same actors playing themselves ten years earlier by putting on caps and then making them have facial hair later is ridiculous. Jensen's acting was terrible and pretty distracting. The dialogue was bad soap opera at best. Stick to the original concept "towns people massacred, town bans valentine's day, murders start happening again so party is taken to the mine, kids are trapped, period. Make the characters LIKABLE so we care about them, don't have the hero be a redneck cheater. What works is the final GIRL, people like the chase. Jaime King was underused and she's the only true likable character next to Tom Atkins who was a tad over the top. I get he's an icon and i love him but c'mon, this isn't Night Of The Creeps. The homages to the original, the dryer and the miners clothes drops were a good idea just not executed well. Why was her face melted off after being in the dryer for like 10 minutes??? I'll close by saying the 3D was alot of fun and the nude girl stuff was pretty inventive but that's all I can say. OH and the ending reveal of the killer was laughable in my opinion. Patrick Lussier, just stop. There's nothing wrong with just being a good editor.

It was a horrible piece of shit. Stick with the original film, which is actually a GREAT horror movie.

It was fun but lacked punch, meat, and intensity. And even though i have seen 3Dmovies before, this one left me with a bad hangover kind of headache.

Overall i thought it was pretty cool, but I was expecting a huge twist at the end and was rather let down. Lots of blood and guts though which is a plus but the story just needed some work and more suspense.

THE MOVIE WAS VERY ENTERTAINING, THE ACTING WAS HORRIBLE ESPECIALLY BY TOM HANNIGAN JR, THE 2 COPS THAT SHOOT THE GUY AND THE BLACK COP BUT THE 3D EFFECTS WERE GREAT AND THE KILLS WERE GOOD

HD? I don't think so. 3D was good in spots (tunnel shots and flashlight effect). Kills were mostly lame except for little person kill which made me laugh. The movie itself was crap. Naked chicks were nice. I had higher hopes for this one, then I usually do for most horror movies.

This was a great slasher that had an awesome amount of gore, creative kills, and it just made me smile.

I thought it was very entertaining and kept you second guessing yourself throughout the entire movie. good kill scenes and didn't stall out nor get boring...always a plus

I thought it was a great time at the theater. EVERYONE needs to get out there and support R rated horror before it's gone. The 3D was f'n awesome looking!! The gore rocked!! Tom Atkins kicks ass!! Go see it in 2D or 3D. Can't wait for the unrated DVD!!

This was unfortuntly a dissapointment, while the first half of the film is just plain fun (The 3D is utilized very nicely.) The twist just kills the movie, while I didn't mind it in the film it was derivited from...it simply doesn't work for this one. (Especially since it was revealed way too early.)

In this age of PG-13 "horror" movies it was a blast to see a nice, all-out gorefest on the big screen again. Did it miss out on everything that kept the original in people's mind for nearly 30 years (despite the gore being edited out)? Yes. Was it a fun romp anyway? Yes. Overall the 3D was well done. Only two or three distracting shots that really screamed "we're doing this just because it's a 3D film!" I'd say go see it if you like slashers (and if you don't, why are you here?) but you really need to pick up the new, uncut DVD, too.

I'm gonna have to say that I was a little dissapointed. I agree that the original is WAY better. I like how they kept the characters names from the original (Axel, Harry Warden)but the plot was just clumsy and unbelievable. I will say the kills were nicely done and entertaining, but overall, just not that great. I would give it a C grade. "C'mon Jason, don't let me down ".

I'm amazed by the amount of people who constantly diss all the remakes and compare them to the original. This was a remake and never stated it was a shot for shot remake (that would have been boring) and it IS a fresh take on an old idea. I thought it was well executed and, let's face it, it's a horror movie aimed at teens and young adults. We're not watching Schindler's List here...It's what a movie like this is meant to be - fun, entertaining and overall a good time. Plus - FINALLY - something better than the PG-13 crappy shit they've been putting out in theaters. I liked this for what it was, and being a fan of the original, I thought they did well by this one. A remake should be based on its own interpretation of the story, and viewed as such...otherwise, what the fuck are you goig to see it for?!?!

EVERYONE SAYS "THE TWIST KILLED THE MOVIE" WHO WAS ACTUALLY HERE FOR THE PLOT? I JUST WANT TO SEE PEOPLE KILLED IN 3D

super enjoyable and the 3-D was really cool. really effective. this is one of the few remakes that serves a purpose. of course the original will always hold a spot in my heart (especially since it was shot in my home town).

i think i was blinded by the 3-D aspect when i first saw the trailers for this. i walked out. but hey, i did get a free passes since i walked out. so i guess it wasnt all bad. i hate it when i get amped for a film and its fucking horrid. i have to beg my wife to see horror flix with me because she says they are lame.. thanks my bloody valenitne. now she thinks IM LAME for being amped on your movie...
