I wonder why Paramount Pictures doesn't just send the movie to DVD, it's obvious that there's no fixing Case 39, Christian Alvart's follow-up to ANTIBODIES that has been collecting dust for over two years now. While the film was included in our 2009 preview piece with a release of April 10 planned, Paramount announced today that they have pulled the film off the 2009 radar completely. The film, which was to "redefine" Paramount at one point, centers on an idealistic social worker (Zellweger) who saves an abused 10-year-old girl from her parents only to discover that things are not as they appear.
I wanted to see this, I saw it on an Australian movie site, stating COMING SOON. i guess now i wont be :(. Paramount done that with the Ruins in Australia, they changed the release date 4 time befroe scrapping the theatrical release the day it was to come out.
It must be a turd. I'm a little surprised. Zellweger is a top actress. You don't normally see that happen when you have a big star attached to it. But it did just happen to Nicole Kidman with her remake of Bodysnatcher's this past year. Anything is possible.
never seen any of the trailers this movie from whaqt i read on here didnt seem THAT bad. i like renee zellweger, just like what few other people said put it out on dvd already. theres nothing good/decent out there now. (in my opinion)
The only reason I would see this movie anyway is for little Jodele Ferland, she's so adorable, and is an amazing actress! It's hard to believe she's so young!
Jodele Ferland was amazing in Tideland. And Renee's best movie for me was Love And A .45. This Case 39 doesn't seem bad enough where it shouldn't get any kind of a release. Fuck, they gave the Prom Night remake a release. Could this be worse than that?!!!
