If you head over to MTV you can check out the first official clip from DreamWorks' The Uninvited (trailer), their remake of the Korean horror film A TALE OF TWO SISTERS, which arrives in theaters January 30th. The film revolves around Anna (Emily Browning), who returns home after spending time in the hospital following the tragic death of her mother. Her recovery suffers a setback when she discovers her father (David Strathairn) has become engaged to her mother’s former nurse, Rachel (Elizabeth Banks). That night, Anna is visited by her mother's ghost, who warns her of Rachel's intentions...
Damnit, the filmmakers aren't fooling anybody by changing the title- we all know this'll be an almost direct remake of "A Tale of Two Sisters." Fuck this movie and the many "Shutter"s, "Grudges"s, and "One Missed Call"s to come.
i LOVE me some Elizabeth Banks!! i might watch this online or something, but i can't see me paying to see this in the theater. it is just too "Hand That Rocks The Cradle"-ish, to me.
How is this considered a 'remake'? This has absolutely NOTHING to do with "A Tale of Two Sisters". Whatever, I'm not gonna see it either way. Elizabeth Banks will be in other films so I'm not too sad on passing on this one...*lol*
This seems very different from A TALE OF TWO SISTERS... Love ELizabeth Banks though but always thought Elaine Hendrix would be perfect for that role.... dammit!
