We broke the news the other day that "The Hills" star Audrina Patridge would be joining Summit Entertainment's remake of THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW, which will simple go by Sorority Row when it hits theaters in 2009. This afternoon it was revealed that Carrie Fisher (Star Wars), Jamie Chung (Dragonball), Julian Morris (50 First Dates), Leah Pipes (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and Margo Harshman (Rise) have also joined the cast. Being directed by Stewart Hendler, the plot sees a group of sorority sisters try to cover up the death of their house-sister after a prank gone wrong, only to be stalked and killed by a serial killer. Fisher would play the sorority's house mother. Chung and Patridge play two of the sisters who die sadistic deaths. Shooting set to start in early October in Pittsburgh.
Lucksaw, that's a horrible example. I actually hope this is to be a good remake, though casting both Audrina and Jamie Chung, two MTV-reality show vets, in a movie, IMO, is a bad call. Why don't think cast friggin Puck from Real World, or Willaim Hung from American Idol? Other than Jamie and Audrina, props to Carrie Fisher and the rest of the cast. Also, it's new to me that they drastically changed the plot premise. Originally, the prank killed the SORORITY-MOTHER, not Sorority-Sister. And, SPOILERS AHEAD, the killer was the Sorority-Mother's deformed son who lived in the sorority house's hidden attic(taking revenge after he witnessed his mother's accidental death at the hands of the sorority sisters). And yes, as noted in the other thread, there BETTER be a decapitated head in a toilet. That was one of the original's "memorable scene".
Magna, I could not have said it better! Well put. Reality shows do not produce actors! They must be the first victims to die so they do not ruin the movie. I hope it's Audrins head in the toilet! Lucksaw, Black Christmas? Really? Undoubtedly the worst movie ever made.
Leah Pipes? Hell ya count me in! That girl is AMAZING!! I hope she doesnt die.
