Bloody-Disgusting learned exclusively today that the lovely Audrina Patridge (pictured inside) - best known for her role on MTV's "The Hills" - has joined Briana Evigan and Rumer Willis in Stewart Hendler's Sorority Row, Summit Entertainment's remake of THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW. Filming is slated to begin this October in Pittsburgh, PA. Also, here's the official synopsis for the shoot: When five sorority girls inadvertently cause the murder of one of their sisters in a prank gone wrong, they agree to keep the matter to themselves and never speak of it again, so they can get on with their lives. This proves easier said than done, when after graduation a mysterious killer goes after the five of them and anyone who knows their secret...
Well, even if you did watch the Hills, it's a reality show, so you can't judge her acting from that. She is very pretty though. She's starring in the upcoming INTO THE BLUE 2. I think the cast is great so far, im a fan of all 3:)
The film was going to be pg-13 but the writer just announced the studio has decided they want the film to be a hard R. They propbably seen the big competition they'll be going up against in 2009, F13, MBV 3D, FD4 Ect.
From STYD:
Stolberg writes, via his blog, that Prom Night's success had Summit execs developing Sorority for the PG-13 crowd. Needless to say, cooler heads prevailed:
"Summit changed their minds and we are full-steam ahead on the R-rated version," Stolberg writes. "I can't tell you what a relief this is from a creative sense. Everything is going back in. As I've mentioned before, we're not out to make torture porn and this still isn't going to be an explicit exploitation picture - but it's nice to be able to write a horror movie the way it should be."
SO yeah, it's going to be Rated R:)
Just when I thought the casting could get any worse, they add an idiot from The Hills. Even if it is R-rated, the cast alone makes me actively hate it already. I'll just continue watching the classic original (on VHS!).
ziltoid the omniscient, it's NOT a Hard-R. If anything, it's "Just enough R" for some graphic kills, but they aren't pushing full force to make this into a raunchy extreme gore/extreme tit slasher movie. If anything, this is going to mirror the type of horror movies they had back in the 70s and early 80s. As for Audrina, yet another rich girl using her money to gain roles. That's basically what The Hills is all about. They're all rich young adults that gain popularity BECAUSE they hail from rich families. That's the reason why Julia Roberts got pissed off, cause talentless hacks like Heidi and Spencer get all the attention while actresses and actors with REAL talent don't. Audrina is actually no different than Paris Hilton, in that respect. Probably an easy horror victim, just like Paris in House of Wax. That's all, though.
I'm going to have to defend Paris - I think she did a decent job in House Of Wax and I'm curious to see her in Repo. And the girls from The Hills are paupers compared to the amount of money that the Hilton family comes from. As for Julia Horseface Roberts - why should she be griping when she's been overpaid for being undertalented and playing the same kind of roles for twenty years?
I don't doubt that she's overpaid, or overrated, but regardless, she IS more talented than any of these rich chicks. And, call me funny, I used to be a big disser of Paris, but I actually LIKE her more than the Laguna Beach/The Hills chicks(and douchbag guys). I just don't know HOW in the hell The Hills became so popular? What, were one of their parents a producer at MTV? Was it, "Daddy! I want my own television show depicting the life of us wealthy kids!". And why in the hell do people LIKE watching this type of shit? I mean, I can't imagine anybody can relate to it unless you, yourself, are a rich person from The Hills.
Audrina is a foxy mama, but she can't even keep character on the Hills. I should know I have seen every episode. I knew it was gonna be her when i saw the headline. Supposedly she dropped her PR company for not pushing her as aggressively as they do the star of the Hill, Lauren Conrad. And to respond to anyone who doesn't like the Hills and doesn't understand why so many of us do it's because life in LA is strange and pretty funny to us working class kids. It's kinda like seeing the book Less than Zero on TV except they only do drugs off camera!
