Last week Warner Bros. Pictures accidentally left Michael Dougherty's Trick 'r Treat on their assignment listing for the upcoming year and we spent the weekend trying to firm up this news. After a long weekend, we finally got in touch with Warner Bros. who confirms this was a mistake and they forgot to omit the title from last year's template used. So there you have it, the tricks are on us and the treats are still lost somewhere in Hollywood. We'll let you know as soon as we confirm some real news.
this FUCKING SUCKS!! from everything i've read about this movie, it's awesome! thanx to BD for finding out the truth, though. good work guys! will we EVER get a chance to see this movie? :)
This is amazing! how have they not released this movie! ... OR even given this movie a true street date! I mean, while Anna Paquin is'nt a HUGE name, shes still got some credit. You really would think they would of done something with this by now. Amazing. Well, we can hope it gets a release... um, sometime. But yea, thanks for all the investigative work BD!
Rouge was nothing special. While I haven't seen The Midnight Meat Train, I'm positive it was the giant cliche-fest I assumed it was. However, this movie looks to be something pretty original, and it pisses me off no one is picking it up.
There wasn't very much cliche about MMT. You should see it before you decide to hate it. As for this. . . it isn't really surprising. There should be a section of the website that lists what movie are not being distributed by what company's (This, Mandy Lane, Cabin Fever 2) and then have the company's email so those who want to see the film can make their selves known (politely of corse) to those in charge.
How can MMT be cliche? Do they mean as far as torture porn is concerned. Uh, MMT's story was written in the 80s, BEFORE movies like Hostel, Saw and such were even CONCEIVED.
From the trailer I saw this movie looked pretty good. Hopefully a studio (Lionsgate, maybe?) will pick it up and get it out by at least November, because I don't wanna wait another year.
I waited for this film last year because it looked interesting and was dissapointed it wasn't released. I wish a studio would pick it up and distribute it already even if it doesn't make it by halloween. I'd even settle for it going straight to dvd because I've been wanting to see it for a while now. Hopefully it gets a theatrical run and soon...
BD.com really should put some effort into finding out why movies like this, which aren't cliches, don't get theatrical releases when less original ideas do. I don't get it.
This is shit! WB needs to pull their collective heads out of their collective ass. I don't know what the problem is. Is it the "R" rating? If the Saw and this run of Apatow comedies have shown, it is that there is a market for "R" ratings. Not just lame PG-13 remakes.
awww that bites! i was looking forward to finally seeing this! geez i guess noone wants to take a chance on R RATED horror flicks. (except mirrors). come on i am sick of the pg13 toned down horror remakes. so that the stupid teeny boppers can go and see it and carry on threw out the whole film that id pay ten dollars to go and see (which is ridiculous)..... come on give me blood and guts and all that i miss in a good horror flick. its bad enough that mmt was only released in 1.00 theares come on!...hey dj who is arizona bay?.....i agree with you bonzo if all the saws get R and the stupid lame comedies get r, then y not horror?!?!?!...yep i agree with ya to jacques.
