New Line Cinema just wrapped their panel for their remake of Friday the 13th here at the San Diego Comic Con, and on display was the first official teaser poster for the film that arrives in theaters February 13th, 2009. this poster is AWESOME!! i LOVE it! between this poster and the My Bloody Valentine poster....i want them both BADLY!! i can't wait to see footage from today... PLEASE!!!!
Poster is awesome, too bad the over all look he has with all the damn handy tools at his waist side is a little ridicoulos.
the movie though sounds like there doing all the right things.
I still don't understand how people dislike TCM 2003. The only thing I didn't like was that they changed Leatherface's last name. Other than that, I thought it was a great tribute and reimagining, capturing a lot of the terror the original brought. Sure, I think the original is a masterpiece, but the remake did a good job updating the movie for the 21st century. Hopefully the new Friday will do the same. These guys are definitely fans and are set out to deliver the best of the series all in one flick. Sounds great to me.
I honestly don't find the mask THAT exciting, haha, but i am looking forward to this one.
TCM'03 doesn't totally suck btw, I liked it up untill Thomas got his arm chopped off. Pssshh. Haha.
I think its hardly "amazing" as some people say it is. It looks good, yes. And it sticks close to the old Friday 13th films, yes. I wonder why Platinum Dunes keeps using the same shades of sepia and browns for most of its remakes? Anyways, the poster also reminds me of the artwork done for McFarlane toy-line. All in all its a good looking teaser
not bad - but i was hoping for more of an old-school dirty slasher vibe. we all know he wears a mask, but i think it might have been more effective if we didn't see it in the poster. i wish there was more hand drawn/painted posters these days - like the original.
That's, that's, ...boring! WTF? doesn't anyone have a clue how to make posters anymore? What about the mask reflecting in the waters of Crystal Lake? Took me three seconds to come up with that and it's way better than your suckie poster.

Some idiot says this is not original. How more original can you be with out people knowing what it is. A teaser poster is a tease but at the same time you should know what the hell its about.
