Bloody-Disgusting caught up with Platinum Dunes producer Brad Fuller who will be at the San Diego Comic Con this Sunday promoting both Friday the 13th and The Unborn. He reveales to B-D that they shot multiple endings to FRIDAY, which might make it on the DVD release. "Nispel's cut will be too long, we will need to make cuts," explaining that there will be deleted scenes on the DVD. In addition, Fuller explains that Jason Voorhees' return to Camp Crystal Lake won't be a walk in the park. "There's hardcore violence, radical sex - it's crazy hardcore in every way!" How about just releasing the Directors Cut? I'd rather see it all cut into the film rather than have to watch the scenes out of context in the special features. Happy it's hard R though!

For hyping it up THIS much, it BETTER be good! I'm interested in the NEW KILLS Fuller talked about a while back. He said some classic Ft13 kills will be in the movie, but there will be some kills that have NEVER been seen in the series. And the Ft13 series has already had a lot of strange kills. How can you possibley top that with NEW KILLS? That gets me giddy!

"cut that's too long"!!! too long for who, exactly? i don't think any of us fans would think it's "TOO long". i'd LOVE to see Nispel's cut.
I just hope that nudity is purely female. There's been several male frontal in recent R films like Saw 4 and comedies like Walk Hard and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
So how come parts 2 to 8 are still the soft versions? Surely if they're gonna release a more brutal version of this if the director's cut is released on DVD then the other films should get similar treatments. When will they realise that if they want to please the fans they should give us decent versions of the classics?

katiekat, i agree %200. one movie i've been dying to see is Clive Barker's "Midnight Meat Train". to me it's an obvious horror movie title, but apparently to MANY people it sounds line a porno. "tee hee hee, that's a porno, dude! tee hee hee!". i mean, come on!
AWESOME! Can't wait to see it but I'll just wait for DVD because there will be an uncut version..I just know it! So there is no use seeing it in theaters when the version on the DVD will be totally different.
Why does nobody understand that sometimes "too long" simply means....TOO LONG?
It could simply mean that the pace is too slow as it is. When was the last time you cracked open a DVD, watched the deleteds and said "Damn, those needed to be in the movie"?
I'd wager that the answer is "very rarely".
I'm going to miss the Paramount logo at the beginning. I remember watching the old movies and the music leaked in when the logo came up. Hope they somehow keep that feel.

omg i cannot wait for this movie!!! a hard r rating is just the kind of friday the 13th im used too but i would definetly love to see it in its uncut glory!!! :) maybe if the uncut version of the remake sells well maybe they will have uncut versions of the other friday movies too! especially part 7 :)
Its rather amazing to me, producers today think just because a "horror" movie has radical sex and hardcore violence that its a good horror film. What a fucking idiot. Boy, all this time I thought terror and suspense made a good horror film. Weird.
to mr brad fuller, you sir, are a douchebag! you can scare people silly with out making a well loved franchise into iconic torture porn. thats exactly what this movie will be.
I think it's WAY premature to say what the movie will be. We have not even seen so much as a trailer yet,"C'mon" !
I would agree that the TCM remake was pretty decent as was Dawn of the Dead and Hills Have Eyes. Friday could be really good and deserves a chance. With the hard R rating, it sounds like it will be more edgier which is good and less Camp which is really good. As far as the violence and sex, remember, this is being made for todays generation, it's not 1981. Everything from movies to video games are more violent and sexual to meet the demands of the age demographic. Right or wrong, it's reality.
Well i was excited to hear a new friday movie was in the works, but as usual, Holly wood has to spend too much money, these movies were made on a tight cheap budget, which in my eyes, makes them a tad scarier than movies made on a big budget, the long black coat, the hockey mask looks weird, it all kinda looks like they are trying to make Jason a somewhat sorta superhero. He no longer realy looks the part of a crazed madman who hasent took care of himself in 30 years.
I will go see the movie and more than likely add it to my dvd collection.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Oh and about the first hood, Just break down , spend a doller 50 and cut a hole in a burlap bag and give him a pair of overalls.
spyder66us, i hear what you're saying, but IMO they are making him human again, instead of the "zombie", omnipotent Jason. i hated when he became invincible zombie Jason. making him a hunter/killer (more like Jason 2-4) is an excellent decision (IMO).
This keeps getting better but i'm really hoping they make Jason and this film more like the first 4. When Jason became a zombie thats when the series started to go down hill, when he was actually human in 2-4 the films were fucking scary!!!

ur right yall (korollocke & deadfactory), friday was never about hot women and there was no explicit violence EVER! i was just deep characters and a great story that made 200% sense.. LMFAO and if u call seein a couple of boobs porn.. mhmm maybe u should watch some "torture porn"? my azz;) u guys just wanna complain all the time.. all fuller wanted to say by that, is that it wont be another watered down hollywood remake like prom night. if that makes u unhappy im sorry.. there will be enuff PG13 disney thrillers comin out too next year.. so u can look forward to those.
