This Thursday at the San Diego Comic Con, Warner Premiered Lost Boys: The Tribe, which is absolutely atrocious. "It’s ridiculous that Warner made this movie, especially because it’s obvious that it was made to cash in on the film’s title. This in no way shape or form is a LOST BOYS movie, other than the fact that Corey Feldman and Corey Haim cameo..." Got to agree, saw this a few weeks back and it is by far and away a pile of poo.
It's a retelling of the original but without the fun, decent cast and uber cool the original had.
Stifflers brother as a vampire killer, please!!!
Watched it, found it forgettable for the most part. Corey Feldman was probably the best part of the film as his character was more entertaining than anything else the film had to offer. They should have made a Frog Brothers film and had it center on his character assembling a new band of campy vampire hunters. I actually laughed out loud when he talked about becoming a minister by filling out a form online and clicking a button that said "ordain me". That was the high point of the film.
I'll bite the ol' stake & purchase it anyway, just to keep by my Lost Boys dvd. It can't be any worse than the Halloween re-make!!!! "Flies & the un-dead go together like bullets n' guns"----The Lost Boys.
Yeah..... I thought your review was a bit hyperbolic. The fact that the sequel was DTV should have already given you an idea of what to expect which is not a whole lot. Just seems like you went in with way too high expectations. The movie was ok for what it was, and while of course it's a far cry from the first film, it certainly wasn't the total bust I thought it was going to be. Then again, I'm a sucker for vampire flicks..... Pun totally intended.
The killings were done pretty KooL; and Feildman was awesome as always, but EVERYTHING just felt so forced.
