Bokeem Woodbine To Travel To Mars-less ‘Total Recall’

Published

on

The more I hear about Len Wiseman’s remake of Total Recall, the less it sounds anything like the movie I know. First they dropped Mars (and thus, presumably, Kuato), and now Bokeem Woodbine (Devil) has been cast as an as-yet-unnamed character, but described in Variety as “Quaid’s best friend who has a kind of big brother relationship with him”.

I mean, I’m all for doing something new, but so far I’m just kind of baffled why they are even using the Total Recall name. It’s a movie largely associated with Schwarzenegger and Mars, and this has neither. They might have changed everything else, but at least they kept the damn mall for Dawn of the Dead, you know? Oh well, I’m sure Mr. Wiseman will at least deliver some sweet action sequences.
