Viral Marketing Campaign Begins For ‘The Last Exorcism’
Oh how I love a good viral marketing campaign. What’s more fun than literally getting involved in a movie? Lionsgate launched today an official website and Twitter for Reverend Marcus and his Church of St. Marks. Who’s Reverend Marcus? He’s better known as Marcus Cotton, the man involved in Lionsgate’s The Last Exorcism, which premieres this Friday at the LAFF and then opens in theaters on August 27. Click the links to have some fun or the title for more info on the Eli Roth produced chiller.
“After a career spent helping the devout through prayer and trickery, Reverend Cotton Marcus (Patrick Fabian) invites a film crew to document his final fraudulent days as an exorcist. Soon his faith is truly tested when a desperate plea from the father of a possessed girl (Ashley Bell) brings him face to face with the devil himself. ”
“The exorcist Father Rufus Pereira was once attacked by a possessed person. It was last September in Brazil.”
