TV: Frank Darabont Directing Only the Pilot Episode of ‘The Walking Dead’… For Now
A little clarification about AMC’s forthcoming The Walking Dead TV series. Bloody Disgusting has confirmed that Frank Darabont will only be directing the pilot episode of the first season, although he could end up behind the camera more down the line. If the series gets picked up beyond the ordered 6 episodes you may see him direct a few more. Although, he will be on set during much of the filming, which is now taking place in Atlanta, GA for premiere this coming October. Jon Bernthal, Andrew Lincoln, Jeffrey DeMunn, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, and Michael Rooker all star in the adaptation that is set among a group of zombie survivors of an apocalypse who are led by a police officer, Rick Grimes, in search of a safe place to live. ‘In a Violent Nature’ Gets Official VHS Release With Standard Edition and Book Box Edition
While we wait for the sequel, the fan favorite slasher movie In a Violent Nature is back this week with a brand new VHS release from Broke Horror Fan and Witter Entertainment.
An official partnership with Shudder, In a Violent Nature is now available on limited edition fully functional VHS, with a Standard Edition and a special Book Box Edition.
Witter previews, “The 2024 Shudder Original slasher arrives on VHS with two variants: A standard slipcase with art by The Boland Design Company, and a book box edition with art by Gary Pullin + a gatefold cover and green VHS tape! Book boxes are limited to 200.”
Each tape includes exclusive introductions from director Chris Nash and cast. And a behind-the-scenes featurette is even included, which will play after the feature itself.
For optimal VHS viewing, the film is presented in its original 4:3 full frame aspect ratio.
