SDCC ’08: ‘Constantine 2’, Or Lack Thereof…
B-D reporter BC was on the red carpet for THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL at this weeks San Diego Comic Con and had the chance to talk to star Keanu Reeves about his role in the remake. During the chat, Reeves revealed that Warner Bros. is no longer working on a sequel to CONSTANTINE, the adaptation of the popular comic book Hellblazer. “We got killed by [it] being an “R-rated” movie,” Reeves explains. He tells us that he was in fact interested, but the movie just didnt make enough [at the box office]. Watch for a video interview soon.
Spider One (Bury the Bride, Little Bites) is back in the director’s chair for this year’s Big Baby, a meta slasher that sees Brandon Scott (Dead to Me) puppeteering slasher kills in our exclusive teaser debut.
Brainstorm Media will release the film on VOD on August 7, 2026.
In the upcoming slasher, “A nightmare involving a maniac killer in a baby mask serves as inspiration for horror screenwriter Adam Lewis’s new script. As more nightmares, visions, and real life terror begin to challenge Adam’s sanity, he finds himself in a desperate struggle to control his writing, his reality, and who will be Big Baby’s next victim.”
