Chicago QUAKES During Unborn Exorcism!
9:30pm, April 21, 2008

Greetings from Chicago - a wonderful place to make a movie and terrifying place to have an exorcism.

I am here shooting "The Unborn," which was born in David Goyer's brain and is being skillfully directed by him. Tonight we are shooting one of the climatic scenes in the film in which Gary Oldman and Idris Elba are conducting an exorcism. We are shooting on location at an old abandoned chapel with cracked stained glass windows, peeling paint and ruptured floors. The place feels like it belongs in a World War 2 aftermath scene.

Now before I go on, I want to remind you that I have shot films in unsettling places before. I am convinced that the house we shot the "Amityville Horror" in was haunted and the Hewitt House from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" had a total of nine people die in it - all by "natural causes" - or so I was told. But I digress. So tonight we are shooting this scene -- it's 3:30 in the morning and we are all exhausted. Lights are flickering, wind is blowing and Gary Oldman is trying to be heard above all the chaos. It feels so real that those of us seated in front of the monitors were freaked out and thrilled at the same time. Goyer painstakingly recreated this exorcism rite from the Old Testament. The words Gary Oldman is saying are directly from the Old Testament and since we are running the scene all the way thru in each take, I found myself completely wrapped up in the scene. For a second I forgot we were filming a movie, and then the room started to shake... I am not screwing around here, the room shook, chandeliers swayed, and our 25 foot long lighting balloon exploded - sending shards of glass raining down!

Chicago, along with neighboring cities throughout Illinois and Indiana, were experienced the second largest earthquake in the history of these parts.

Now you can say that it's a coincidence that we had a 5.2 magnitude earthquake while shooting our exorcism scene - but when you finally see the scene, you'll know why the actors look so freaked out, and why am writing this blog from the safety of a particularly hardy doorway.

Platinum Dunes is the best company that's producing quality horror movies. They don't water them down or try to make them aimed at PG13 audience. They are the best!!!!

I was just wondering, how does someone even find out about auditions for these movies? I search like crazy, but to no avail.

Okay, I have a LOT to get off of me chest with you greedy, money-hungry bastards. I made this account specifically for the occasion. First off, haven't you prematurely ended enough Horror franchises TCM, F13, and now A Nightmare On Elm Street? Not only this, but Robert Englund will not be replaying Freddy!!? If you remake ANOES, that is one thing, but an actor other than Robert Englund playing Freddy Krueger!!? That is downright blasphemous!!! There is no need for the original Nightmare to be remade, it has aged elegantly, and holds up even to today's standards. (Which actually are quite low, due to talentless hacks like you.) However, since for whatever reason you feel the urge to do so, ($$$) just give the fans Robert Englund as Freddy. If not as Freddy, give him at least ten minutes of screen time in a cameo or whatever. If not, then I swear to God that I will start the greatest cinematic boycott ever known against your film. Me and my friends will do whatever we can in our power to prevent your films from making money, boycotts, posting spoilers in the anticipation Threads on theinternet, anything that can possibly take that extra 8 bucks away from you. So please, for the love of the fans, (And for your love of money.) let Robert Englund play Freddy. If not, then I hope that anybody and everybody and their entire families at platinum deuche (OOPS! That's not a Typo!!) rot in Hell you talentless, greedy, selfish, money-hungry low-life hacks.

What a shame you filthy thieves didn't get knocked on the head by something. Perhaps then you could come up with an original film idea, instead of STEALING other creative writers works. Oh, and lets not mention a word about the poor people injured in the quakes, or even killed - lets just mention it to try and make out like our movie is the reason behind it. It's probably God trying to tell you to leave CLASSIC MOVIES ALONE!! Or maybe it's the fury of the fans all finding out about your theft of Craven's characters and story. You have to mention that this film is original, because none of your others are, and this just sounds like a poor, regurgitated, imitation of 'The Exorcist.' I can just see you now, 'okay guys, lets make out like all these weird things went on on set so we can get more publicity - you're transparent! BOYCOTT PLATINUM DUNES!

You've even knicked the Spider-walk. Why don't you give new writers and new script ideas a chance instead of just re-making classics that don't need re-making????? It's not for a new audience, because most audiences old enough to get into see these movies have seen the originals, it's just to line your own, filthy, thieving, greedy pockets!!!
