Just one main question...Who is playing Freddy? I think Englund is pissed off that you guys didnt approach him about this remake which is really shit of you all being that he made that role. Unlike Jason, Freddy is somewhat difficult to re-cast. It would be okay to do a prequel without Englund as the younger Krueger wouldnt be Englund. I've been waiting for this Jason for a long time. I've always felt this was the only way to make Jason the scary icon he was (instead of the slasher version of the terminator). But PLEASE do not cut off Jason's head, legs, arms etc. Nobody should go into a Friday the 13th film and make it a stand alone picture. This will be Jason's 12th movie. I hear over and over again...there are no plans for a sequel. That's fine, but there will always be more Jason movies so don't make it difficult on the next filmmakers. Lets have a few "human Jason" movies before considering another zombie Jason movie. It looks like this movie was made by listening to the fans. Just listen to this one more request!!

Open endings are cheesy and aren't needed. I'm happy with a solid ending that gives the film justice.

Great job with the panel at Comic Con! Crowd was a bit more subdued than I expected but you guys were all great to listen to - still laughing over Jared's Hippo or a Lion story. And Derek - he's a great speaker, love to interview him when the movie's ready to come out. The trailer was so well made and so scary I had to watch through my fingers! Excellent job - oh and that poster - minimalist and totally creepy.

Just wanted to comment on something Derek Mears was asked about in his interview with Dread Central... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE include the unmasking scene in the film!!! In Parts 2-4 of the original series, Jason's unmasking scenes were absolutely vital to the shock and terror of the films, and it's hard to imagine this one - no matter how bloody and intense - having the same sort of lasting impact if we don't see the true horror underneath the mask. I'm all for saving some things for the DVD, but I believe not showing Jason's face in the theatrical print would be a mistake. Thanks!

I loved it when Brad said that they forgot about everything after Part 4 when they made this movie! I LOVED the "Old School" Kill-Kill-Kill-Ma-Ma-Ma...along with the classic score. It really made it feel like an old school Friday. Hope they use the original score throughout the film. All of my doubts about this movie have been erased! Thanks Platinum Dunes for giving the fans what we have been wanting for a long time!

Honestly, the story for FvJ was about as good as it could be. Just read the other potential scripts and you'll see. Michael vs. Jason? I wouldn't hold your breath for that one. The characters are just too similar (SST's - strong, silent type), and trying to mesh their stories together would be too akward. I just don't see Jason following a victim to Haddonfield, or Michael chasing Laurie to CCL for any good reason, not to mention it would have to be on Halloween, & I don't know many people who go to a summer camp at the end of October.

Fuck "vs." movies. No one can do them right so lets not waste another trip to the box office. I finally got to see the clearer version of makaveddie's clip and I am even more excited now. I didn't see that he was holding up the make nor did I see the 1 eye in the hood shot either in the first release. I am really happy that it looks like this movie is well grounded. I realized Padalecki is playing a "Rob" from part IV type character looking for his missing sister (Sandra). Rob got a weak death so hopefully Pad gets at least a more worthwhile demise.

HOW I WISH THEY WOULD END THE MOVIE... every single person that lays there eyes on jason dies including any crystal lake police.if the star female does survive she is nuts like at the end of part 3 and cant tell what happened..one of the murders happens 2 people with weapons startle each other or somehow it looks like a murder suicide and one of them maybe has a violent history which leads state police or feds to believe he is the murderer leaving it open for teens to return to crystal lake safely for part 2.

Also, I ran into this problem in the forums, but that face plate thing is not the final face. When he wears the mask they have an uncompleted face to save time since it's covered by the mask. That thing over his eye is just the mongoloid one that they are going to have CG blinks added to. So no bitching about the front of his face...it's the back of the head that is important in those photos.

I'm pretty sure the screwed up mouth is part of the final face. But yeah, the make-up isn't complete in those pictures.

On a F13th note. Lots of leaked things about the movie were posted here or there. I have a message for Brad. I love the ending! It's sad to hear your original intentions have no face reveal, young Jason, or Mrs. Voorhees. That certainly doesn't ruin the movie...that's as long as you have special features containing all of that stuff in the dvd! The description of the ending sounds PERFECT. I heard the editing was a little rushed but just fix that up and it's gold!!!!

I didn't want to read over too much as not to spoil the movie, but I did glance over what the ending is. Sounds like a good final scare moment.
