Welcome To Platinum Dunes
2:15pm, April 13, 2008

I have been a fan of Bloody-Disgusting for a long time. Though the site hasn't always loved what we do at Platinum Dunes, I admire its devotion to the genre that we all love. I have spent countless hours reading comments and there have been many times when input from BD readers have had impact on our films. Being in the remake business certainly opens us up to criticism and scrutiny and we welcome that. So, for this, my first post I want to discuss ratings. And specifically the rating of our remake of Friday 13th. Everytime I read something about the movie people suggest that it might be a PG-13 film. I ask YOU Bloody Disgusting reader, how could it be? In fact, none of our remakes have been PG-13. How do you remake a rated R horror movie and take the guts out literally and figuratively? What is F13 without sex, drugs and really, really long sharp machete? And why would we, horror fans ourselves, produce a movie devoid of the things that made the title so appealing in the first place. So let me say for the record, that the F13 that we start shooting this Thursday is a full bodied, rated R film. It has insane kills that will be shown in all their glory- it has a group of college students who drink and even have sex. We are betting that if we don't hold back that the audience will reward us for being bold in a time when some horror movies are playng the ratings game. So we embrace the R rating Friday the 13th will have, and hope you will too.

I hope that as production progresses you will come to rely on this blog as the place to come for all things F13. I welcome your comments and thoughts.

STOP REMAKING CLASSIC HORROR MOVIES YOU GREEDY NO-TALENT ASSHOLES!

disanti 3:25pm, April 28, 2008

I can't wait to see Jason on the big screen again. As much fun a F13 films are, I'd like to see it in a little bit more serious tone. Plus, please fix the time frame of the events. For example, in the original films Jason would have been around 40 when he came back to avenge his mothers death. Just fix stuff like that in which the original film makers over looked. That's a little whack. If possible, I want to see a series re-birth too (Tommy Jarvis!?!). Well, good luck, can't wait to see it. Keep it Brutal...esp for that unrated dvd that is bound to come out!!!

Evil_Flip 3:25pm, April 28, 2008

If you guys are horror fans, why would you even consider remaking a classic (especially since they still stand the test of time)? You guys are not John Carpenter nor David Cronenberg (and even they remade movies that were in old), so you guys are obviously doing this for the money, not to mention the fact that they can now dubbledip the originals. Don’t get me wrong, do whatever you want, I’m just sick and tired of the fact that I can’t see anything in the cinema I haven’t seen before (and better). And if you guys can’t make something original, and thus need to remake, give me a remake of a movie that has potential but sucks (like ‘Don’t go near the park’). But then again, don’t tell me there aren’t any interesting original scripts lying around. Yours truly, flip

disanti 3:28pm, April 28, 2008

btw...fuck that mfcmk dude....keep remaking them because it gives me an excuse to go to the movies to see good slasher films. TCM was fine with me, I didn't see the hitcher new or original so I don't care, and Nightmare needs to get back on the screen too. If you listen as much as you can to the fans...people will go see them and enjoy them. The world is dying for a new slasher "hero" though. You should give that a shot sometime.

francesco 3:35pm, April 28, 2008

I'm pretty sure u'll make THE BEST FRIDAY 13TH ever! Don't listen those asshole that said "stop to make remake". I know that the NEW FRIDAY THE13TH FRANCHISE IS UP TO U!!! So make a good job!!! Friday fans are with u!

SummerCampSlasher 3:52pm, April 28, 2008

All us horror fans ask is that you guys LOOK at what made the early FRIDAY THE 13TH movies work and adhere to that! Please do not give us a movie filled with annoying, stereotypical characters, and don't kill the mystique of Jason. I'm sure you're going to give us a technically fantastic film, but please make sure the content is there to back it up. Make F13 scary again, but make sure you know why it was scary in the first place. I like the idea of the remake / sequel (requel) though!

mmyersisgod 4:08pm, April 28, 2008

Do not make this anything like The Halloween remake. Watch the first 5 over and over again, and use that Jason, that atmosphere, and that look. I am trusting you guys since i enjoyed the TCM Remakes.

mfcmk 4:08pm, April 28, 2008

I find it very sad how people support these remakes and still consider themselves horror fans. You've got assholes like Brad Fuller who have no talent and no ideas for their own type of film so they turn to the great classic horror movies that everyone loves and supports... and decides to STEAL the film and reshoot it with low talent greedy directors who only care about the money unlike Hooper, Carpenter, and Raimi.. who were making their films with all their hearts because it's something they loved. People come up with lame excuses like user Sancho2288 saying shit like they are remaking them to give new audiences a chance to see a great film that they couldn't see back in the day when it was big.... Thats complete Bullshit. The classic horror films from the 70's and 80's are even bigger today. It is really sad that there are those of you supporting these remakes. The sad thing is 15 years down the line classic horror films like friday the 13th are going to be remade again.. and again and again just so talentless assholes like Brad Fuller can leech off of other peoples talent and make some more money.

tszilla 5:27pm, April 28, 2008

Friday The 13th is a fun,but flawed movie, exactly the kind that is ripe for re-invention. Does anyone really want another timeline and logic defying entry in the original series, or a chance to see things MAYBE improved upon... Only Parts I, II, and IV hold up today. After those entries each one was more MPAA castrated than the one which preceeded it. I grew up seeing each of these movies in their original theatrical runs, and while I have a special fondness for the F13 series I have no problem with a do-over. If the new one sucks (which I doubt it will, based on the TCM remake),the original will only look that much better by comparison. Best of all, the new movie may inspire Paramount and New Line to come together and release an all-encompassing definitive collection of all of the originals, with all of the extra footage we know is out there that never found its way into Paramounts bare bones box.

HorrorLover101 6:10pm, April 28, 2008

Please, lemme just say that I for one welcome anything Platinum Dunes is involved with. So far they have put out pretty good remakes considering these other remakes that get the PG-13 rating and are just a waste of time. Give me a Texas Chainsaw, Amityville, Hitcher remake anyday over Prom Night, April Fools Day, etc.... Keep up the good work guys.

SummerCampSlasher 6:12pm, April 28, 2008

I can appreciate their disposition in theory ... they are making hard, R rated horror films and that's appreciated. Unfortunately, they just haven't been very good so far. In fact, the only Dunes film that's worth a damn in my eyes is the TCM prequel. The first one just missed the point of TCM by making Leatherface a goon with a skin condition. I really hope they don't make the same mistake with Jason. While I haven't liked much of that these guys have done yet ... I do hope they NAIL F13. But also, I would like to see them do something ORIGINAL.

Murder, INC. 6:38pm, April 28, 2008

I am excited to see Jason in another movie. While some people might bash remakes (I myself was guilty at one point), I realized that any remake or "reinvention" did not change how much I STILL loved the originals and gave me the opportunity to see my favorite slashers once again. I'm an old school horror fan and I still appreciate the current takes you guys have done. They could have been much much worse. There are a few concerns dealing with Jason, my all time favorite slasher. First off: I dont know if I missed this in any articles, but is this new one officially a remake now or is it still suppossed to happen between parts 2 and 4? If the latter is the case, I think that would be fanfuckingtastic. I always enjoyed Jason the most when he was considerably human. He ran, he got hurt, he bled... He was scary then... The idea of zombie Jason was probably inevitable back in the day, but when he changed he became a chump... a fat chump with hair..and the look was ridiculous...That's the next thing: Please bring him back to the classic look. C'mon...Tell me a completely bald head was not sinister. The last thing is the writers... I trust if you guys are making this movie it has a worthy script, because Freddy vs. Jason sucked (as well as everything after part 6). And I even gave it the benefit of the doubt and read the script...It was better but it still sucked...Can you guys make changes as you see fit? Anyway, I like most of what I hear. Thanks. Don't let us down.

cpanthers 7:19pm, April 28, 2008

Whats going on with the near dark remake?

Pat34 8:27pm, April 28, 2008

Hello Brad and all of Platinum Dunes, I am a huge horror fan and have been all my life. I am 34 years old and I have loved Friday the 13th since it's inception and have been a loyal fan ever since. I have followed the franchise through it's ups and downs and everything in between. Although, I love the first 4 films in the franchise the best, I like them all....yes even Part 5. The first 4 are just special to me. Jason was still "alive" in those and those are the ones that epitomize the 80's. They are awesome films and if you, Platinum Dunes, take those films into consideration while filming and writing this new movie, then it will be wonderful. I welcome the remake with open arms and an open mind. I just want to ask, please stay true to our beloved franchise. When Jason Goes To Hell came out, I was extremely dissapointed. The movie was nothing, nothing like the others and basically was a parody of the films before it. It is my least favorite as always has been. Please, Brad, I know you said you and the others are fans of the originals, and I am so happy to hear that. I have read where you are going to stay true to the fans and the originals films. I would rather noone else be in charge of this remake. I think your version will be great! I was hoping Pamela Voorhees would be in this and I am very happy that Nana Visitor will be portraying her. Pamela is one of my favorite characters ever. I read recently also about the hockey mask...when I read that there were going to be "small changes".....I thought, "Oh no. Here we go." Please do not change the hockey mask much. The original Part 3/4 masks are so iconic as is the mask itself from any of the sequels. True, hardcore fans WANT the original looking hockey mask. I understand about wanting to change subtle things but please don't deviate too much from the original. The red marks, holes, just the overall shape of the original is menacing enough. It doesn't need to be changed. I know you guys are trying to make something anew, and exciting, and I am sure I will love your creations as well. It is just nerve-racking and virtually unsettling to hear comments such as those after having our beloved and iconic hockey mask with the axe cut in it for 25 years now. But, as I have said, I welcome this remake. I will be there on the first day of it's opening. I know you guys will do good things and keep it in the tradition of the classic 80's films. The atmosphere of the first 4 needs to be in this one also.....the thunderclouds, serene lake scenes as in Part 1, the ever present Loon bird being heard throughout the early films, scenes of wind blowing the trees....all of that help make the early films even greater than they were. Please, take alot of the atmosphere for this one from Part 1-4. Make it a dark film. Moody film. A summer camp with thunderstorms and dense, lush green forests. Can't wait to see your new Friday the 13th guys. I know it will be great no matter what. Hope you are all doing well and hope filming goes as planned and good luck to you all. Pat

disanti 8:37pm, April 28, 2008

Murder Inc. sums it up! Remakes are give us a chance to see our favorite characters up on the big screen. I'm sorry but the original Amitiville Horror was bogus. I wasn't scared one second during that movie. The remake had Ryan Renolds sell the part. And lets get one thing straight about making money here. Sean Cunningham made F13th ONLY BECAUSE HE WANTED MONEY TO MAKE CHILDRENS FILMS! He had no idea what he was doing! They stumbled upon something they weren't looking to do. Then you had people run away with the sequels and do shitty jobs with continuity and keeping the story straight. Those people were the leeches. Now, here is a chance for all that shit to be swept under the rug so maybe someone can reinvent this series and make it scary again. If you don't like it then don't go see it, but I'm friggin estatic that someone is at least trying to breathe new life in F13th. Oh that is unless you want something original like a Jason X2 cause that was taking the series in a great direction....jackass.

magnaderalpha 9:40pm, April 28, 2008

Brad, I think the reason why people questioned if Ft13 remake was to be PG-13 because of the(more evidently NOW) horror sellouts in the industry that are producing this "Horror Lite". Y'know, remaking, yet NOT really holding it up to the original in terms of rating. Prom Night is a perfect example. As is the upcoming Hell Night remake. Not to mention how your Ft13 remake will feature some young stars that are WB/CW/Disney affiliated. I, for one, just say screw the kiddies. If you want true horror, sneak into R-rated movies, just like I did back when I was pre-teen. Heh, if kiddies don't have the gall to, just wait until you're of age. But until then, watch Spongebob or High School Musical. Horror is for us adults!!!

staindFAN 11:19pm, April 28, 2008

I love Platinum Dunes, I think they have done an awesome job with all of their releases so far. Keep up the good work, I know I appreciate it!

Arkade 1:41am, April 29, 2008

I agree with staindfan, platinum dunes kicks ass! I love all the remakes so far. You guys obviously loved the originals enough to remake them. it sounds to me like you guys are just paying tribute to the classics we grew up on. keep it up!

Arkade 1:53am, April 29, 2008

As far as the new friday, i can't wait. jason has always been my favorite! he has so much potentail. i think it was rob zombie that said "... [jason] is a great character, trapped in a horrible story..." i don't completly agree with that, but the F13 series could use a breath of new life, which this remake will certainly give it. F13 can't come soon enough.

francesco 3:11am, April 29, 2008

JASON RULEZ!!!

CampBlood1980 1:21pm, April 29, 2008

I agree with the comments from Pat34. The atmosphere of parts 1-4 was one of the main reasons Friday stood out from the rest. The later Fridays all looked as if they were filmed in the dead of winter, or on a movie set. Not to mention the fake fog that was always in the background. The idea of the hidden tunnels is one of the ideas I've heard the most criticism about, and I agree. That would take away some realism & mystique from Jason. I'm also wondering if this is a "remake" or a "Midquel" taking place between 3-4. I hope it's the Midquel! I have alot of faith in Platinum Dunes doing this justice. I too was worried about the script, but that's what rewrite's are for! It def. needs that feeling of isolation, like the originals had, and which you instilled very well in the TCM's. That feeling that nobody is there to help. I can't wait to see a human, running Jason again!!!

SummerCampSlasher 2:52pm, April 29, 2008

Yeah, I'm with you ont he Midquel as well ... If they keep F13 in 'loose' continutity with the earliest Jason flicks, I will be one happy camper. And I'll agree about the atmosphere of parts 1-4 (hell, even 5 and 6). PLEASE get back to that. It's arguably the most important thing to nail. And please, no annoying funny black man stereotypes. Please.

Pat34 3:26pm, April 29, 2008

I forgot to mention that I live in Texas. :) Only 4 hours away from the filming site! Can't wait to hear more news guys!

ODM 3:47pm, April 29, 2008

i for one am SO excited to hear F13th is coming back to the cinema. i have been such a fan of horror since i was 6 years old (i'm 29 now) and i adore the F13th movies. if this delivers a film that is dark and scary (unlike most of the F13th films) i will be very happy. it is about time these films were given a new lease of life and taken into a more edgy/gritty vibe. with regards to jason's "look" i have to admit i think jason was by FAR scariest in part 2 when he had that sack over his head, it was FAR creepier than the hockey mask. i realise that the hockey mask is iconic but i'd love to see jason wear the sack for some of the movie, it really felt like it was something he had made himself while existing in the woods on his own, it made him seem more feral. plus i just have to add, 3 of the scariest moments in any of the friday films are in part 2... 1) when the policeman is driving through the woods and jason darts across the road up in front and 2) when ginny enters the cabin at the end, and you see jason running towards her through the window and she doesn't realise. 3) when jason jumps through the window and grabs her.. for some reason he scared the hell out of me when i was younger, and still gives me the creeps today (great makeup effects). simple yet creepy stuff! anyway, here's hoping you deliver the goods and bring back a dark, scary friday 13th film. As for a remake of a nightmare on elm street. i am even more excited about that. i have often believed that the concept of nightmare was so brilliant but never really fully exploited. freddy became an absolute JOKE! i hate how he has "one-liners" and jokes all the time like some wise-cracking fool> this may be why i prefer part 2 (shock horror) to most of the other sequels purely because freddy was so dark and sinister in that film. i REALLY hope you make freddy dark and sinister again, and make it scary! not too flashy and over the top... just raw and gritty. good luck with the productions, i am eagerly awaiting their release

ODM 3:56pm, April 29, 2008

oh! and how can i forget.. harry manfredini's SUPERB score in the F13th films. i have to say i dont know if F13th could be F13th without it.. its just absolutely superb, and equally as iconic as jason's mask.. cue screeching strings and "chi, chi, chi, ha, ha, ha" ;-) one of my BIGGEST hates for remakes and sequels is when they remix and change the music (only when they get it right originally of course). this is one of the many hundreds of reasons i HATE that Halloween remake.. the god awful rehash of john carpenters superb score. the music in the original 2 is incredible.. so why they not re-use it? it's beyond me.. so please guys.. use harry's score!

jarofsap 7:17pm, April 29, 2008

I don't mind the idea of all these remakes (beyond Rosemary's Baby, which is POINTLESS), but I'm pretty sad that this is the agenda of horror right now. Nothing new, just recycled. It's sad.

Crwn* 10:18pm, April 29, 2008

I hate when people say you guys have no talent I would love to see what there movie looked like if they made it lol. I really admire you guys for brining horror back and I look forward to the F13 remake hopefully Jason has some really brutal kills on there and takes no prisoner's because Jason is a killing machine at least in my eyes. and as for the nightmare remake hopefully its not a prequel i really would not like that to much its not the same with out having the crispy burnt Freddy Kruger lol. you know a movie that would be really awesome if you made is hostel 3 the 2nd one was bad and disappointed me but if you made it somewhat to the extent of the first but with more gore it would be great. i will write script for you lol.

Pat34 10:37pm, April 29, 2008

I agree about the Friday the 13th score. Please, Please guys do a good job with the score. That is another important part of this franchise. Part 7 had TOO much "KiKiKi MaMama" in it while others.... like Jason Takes Manhattan, virtually had none. Please use Part 1, 2, 3 and 4 as your mold for this new one. The atmosphere and musical score can make or break a film of this magnitude. The films were dark and the music made them even more so. Please.....let Harry Manfredini be involved in some form or fashion. As someone else mentioned, it't not Friday the 13th without his historical score.

francesco 3:18am, April 30, 2008

just GIVE US MORE NEWS!!!!

disanti 6:01am, April 30, 2008

Score or no score...just no annoying top 40 Crap-Rock bands please. Manfrendini did a good job twisting the Psycho Music around...maybe try not to rip it off as hard as he did. The last thing I saw Manfrendini do was Jason X and it was pretty silly, so just watch that movie to see what NOT to do. I think one thing you HAVE to do for a kill is bring back the Rick Head Crush from part 3. That can look really cool ...you know instead of a plastic head with an eyeball on a string. Oh and another thing. Jason looked like he stole hobo clothes in FvJ. Don't dress him up too much. I think he had like 4 coats on in that movie. And finally...we want to see some artwork! Story boards, concepts, set designs...something!!!!

Crwn* 10:24am, April 30, 2008

dude I don't just wanna see the machete the whole movie I would like to see you guys mix it up do some different stuff like i think it was in the final chapter he used a corkscrew opener to kill that dude that was bad ass. just be creative and gory and you really can't go wrong for this kind of film.

disanti 3:24pm, April 30, 2008

Corkscrew, Axe, Meat Cleaver, Spear, whatever! I'm sure everyone saw the DVD extra's for Rob Zombies Halloween Disaster when they rip on Jason a bit. I'd like to see some halloween bashing since I'm guessing that the F13th remake with be a shit ton better. Maybe Jason goes to grab a butcher knife but passes it up to grab something more brutal. It's be crazy to see him go to town on someones dome with one of those Meat Tenderizer Mallets. It's too bad they have used the sleeping bag kill twice...that shit is just hilarious.

Pat34 5:04pm, April 30, 2008

Are ya'll going to use old school prosthetics for the murder sequences? I sure hope so. I am not against CGI in Sci-Fi.....it actually demands it. BUT....in horror, that's a no-no. Freddy VS. Jason had TOO much of that crap. It looked fake. Look at Tom Savini's work in Part 1 and 4. That's all you need guys. A friend and I watched Part 2 again last night and I HOPE this new film will be alot like that. I actually found myself being eerily creeped out all over again even after seeing it for the umpteenth time. I know you guys will do a great job regardless. As a major fan, I'm just throwing my ideas and wishes and wants out there. Can't wait for some news guys!

chuck visger 7:00pm, April 30, 2008

please do a good job on jasons costume don't change it at all keep it the same so the movie wont suck and check the the script more then 10 times and on another note leave nightmare on elm st alone don't remake it some day I would like to play freddy . I already play him at nightmare at pinehaven farms but robert is the only freddy no one else look up nightmare at pinehaven .com and look up chuckvisger at my space

XIØN 4:01pm, May 1, 2008

You guys are doing a great job, don't listen to the negative assholes. Can't wait to see the Friday and nightmare remakes!

Pat34 2:06am, May 2, 2008

Yea, don't listen to all of the negative feedback about remakes and such. The remakes that Platinum Dunes has made to date have all been very good. I enjoyed them all immensely and will definately enjoy this Friday the 13th. Keep up the great work!

Vern 4:10am, May 2, 2008

You know what, it's not too late to cancel all of these remakes and do something else, like have a picnic or something. The David Goyer movie I might watch but I for one am tired of nicely lit, horrible on every other conceivable level remakes of my favorite movies. If all you care about is photography go take some pictures of sunsets and make a calendar or some shit. The world needs pretty calendars more than it needs another cynical cash-in on a familiar title designed to make a profit from stupid teenagers in the opening weekend and then never be thought of ever again except in anger and bitterness by people with a passion for the genre. Who cares about PG-13 - I want to know if it's true that you're remaking THE BIRDS so that there's an explanation of why the birds are attacking! If so I don't think it is technically possible to more profoundly misunderstand what was scary about the original movie. But I'm sure you guys will figure out a way. I don't like to be so critical but this post is much less insulting and cruel than the Platinum Dunes movies are to their audience. So I don't feel that bad about it. Seriously, consider my calendar idea. Or postcards.

disanti 4:15pm, May 2, 2008

Um, hey, Vern and everyone else like Vern... would you pleae quit your bitching and moaning and just shut up! The movies are being made, nothing you say or do will stop that. You want to see something new...go write, produce, direct, and star in whatever peice of shit movie you think would be awesome. Do that, or sit back and shut up because the rest of us want to see these movies. I mean why call people from your Zach Morris 1990 Cell phone when you can go out and get an iphone? There's nothing wrong with improving on an OLD idea. Esp when that old idea has been pushed to the limits by a series of shitty sequels. Zombie screwed up any chance for a Halloween sequel...so screw him. BUT if F13th and ANES are made even half dencent, we all get a new series of sequels on both franchises. I believe that is a win for the fans by us getting a welled deserved fix of F13th on the big screen. But if we all live in Verns world, we could always just go back to your bare bones box sets of movies we have watch 100's of times. I don't know about you, but I need something new.

disanti 4:23pm, May 2, 2008

On another note for everyone worried about the special effects. Remember that Michael Bay is the top dog in this. So there is probably going to be a ton of CG VFX in this movie...it's just the way the guy rolls. He does own his own VFX house, Digital Domain (who is probably has a bid on the project), but the good news is that everything will probably look really good. It goes beyond just the kills though, there could also probably be a lot of background VFX work done to make everything look even more dark and creepy (I hope). DD did Zodiac and that whole movie was practicaly filmed in front of a blue screen. They did a great job into turning those sets into the streets of San Fran. (I suggest you go back and watch it, every street shot is Blue Screen...Trust me). I can't wait to see what they can make crystal lake look like! So I guess that is a question that we would all like answered. How much CG work will be in this movie? It's at least worth a spot on the DVD Extras Menu right? Maybe this site can have a Q&A section so we can be updated on F13th and all other things. Pick out a few questions each week or two and fill us in!

jeremyk 5:05pm, May 2, 2008

You should rename your company to Remake Inc... Seriously, why put all of your eggs in one basket and remake every movie you can think of? Spend some of your remake profits on giving upcoming writers and directors with ORIGINAL ideas a chance to shine.

Pat34 4:33am, May 3, 2008

That's a good idea disanti about the Q&A section. Yea, I too, hope this film is dark like the early films. Can't wait for a Fangoria issue that has on-set interviews. :P

Murder, INC. 9:46pm, May 4, 2008

So are we ever going to get any updates or what?

Zombie Dude 3:01am, May 6, 2008

Updates would be nice :)

bigkongfan 7:58pm, May 7, 2008

While I think a Friday The 13th remake can work quite well (I realize I'm in the minority here in my opinion that the original wasn't really very good at all and can be improved upon quite easily) I am appalled at the Platinum Dunes schedule of remake after remake. Rosemary's Baby? Are you effin' serious? The Exorcist? DON"T YOU DARE!!!! There are many terrific horror novels that would make superb movies (pick almost any horror novel by Robert McCammon, Dan Simmons, Scott Nicholson, Bently Little, etc..). Why not tackle one of those? Is it because you don't want to pay a novelist for the rights? Is it also because you prefer to only produce projects with built-in name recognition for the masses and to hell with originality? If so you are well on your way to making a name for yourselves as nothing better than opportunistic scavengers intent upon desecrating the classics of prior generations; marginally talented hacks who refuse to challenge yourselves to produce anything that doesn't cannibilize what went before. This is the name you're making for yourself. Don't think we horror fans haven't taken notice.

disanti 8:42pm, May 7, 2008

I'm just going to put this out there. Maybe it's because I am growing up in a generation that is not phased easily, but The Exorcist is not scary at all. With phrases like "F*ck me Jesus" how can you not fall over holding your ribs from laughter pains on that one? Don't hold that movie to such high regaurd....it's not scary. Re-Make it! haha

disanti 8:44pm, May 7, 2008

Oh and cast Lindsey Lohan as Regan too....that's sure to piss everyone off.

bigkongfan 7:22am, May 8, 2008

I hope you're joking, disanti, about Lindsey Lohan. In fact, I have no doubt you are but at the same time I think you miss the point of why remaking The Exorcist is a pointless endeavor. True, times have changed and what previous generations considered scary does not seem so scary nowadays. My 16 year old son does not find The Exorcist particularly scar, either. That's not my point, though. Movies such as The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby were terrific movies that aimed high in terms of character, story and overall quality. They were not simple exorcises in the craft of saying "boo!" and making teenagers jump. And they did not pile on the gore just to satisfy an audience that had grown jaded and needed to see ever escalating levels of graphic violence in order to feel entertained. Now, I am not phased by gore. I am not squeamish. If the gore is in service to the story it is legitimate. If the gore is the entire reason for the movie's existence, though, it is not. The Story is primary. Without the emphasis on The Story all you have is cheap schlock gussied up with expensive special effects. Unfortunately this seems to be where modern horror is headed and encouraging this endless stream of remakes plays into that. It is killing the genre we have all loved. Why should the makers of horror movies settle for this? Why should the strategy continue to be to churn out senseless remakes, hide them from critics before release and depend upon one decent weekend to turn a profit before the public figures out that the movie stinks? Why should horror movies continue to aim for the lowest common denominator? Why can't they aim high anymore? Why can't the goal be quality? As long as the goal is only to turn a quick profit while playing gorehounds for suckers who will lap up any putrid detritus thrown their way (especially if it comes in a familiar brand-name wrapper) American horror will continue to be marginalized, disrespected and treated by studios as the red-headed stepchild of the movie industry. Hey, if you're OK with being treated by Hollywood as a simple-minded cretin who will eat whatever dreck is slopped onto his plate (and pay good money for it in the bargain) I guess that's up to you and your own self respect. Me? I'm not OK with it.

disanti 3:05pm, May 8, 2008

Don't worry, I was just joking. haha. I think if someone wants to re-make a movie then so be it. Here's a question to ask, is a remake worse than a bad sequel, or series of bad sequels? Sequekls are a form of cashing in, so why not bash those (The Exorcist has a few right?). In this case, F13th has been ruined and run into the ground by a bad storyline of sequels. What do you do when you have no where else to go? Start over. TCM was the same way. Amittyville, everyone I know agrees with me on that that series is one of the worst. Great Story, just wtf? It's quite impressive to screw up storylines of so much potential but people have managed to do so. Don't give hollywood too much credit though. There are not a ton of great scripts running around bring hidden, there's a ton of shit trust me on that one. Under the piles and piles of shitty scripts maybe lives 1 or 2 decent movies. You want a chance to see original stuff released by the boat load? Go watch the 8 After Dark films that come out every year....they fucking suck. Prime example of original garbage. Maybe it's not the scripts either, maybe it's the directors. When I see a re-make, I like getting to compare it to the original. See a different point of view. Not all remakes are good, i.e. day of the dead, but whatever. You win some you lose some. There is a reaction though, like some kids don't even know about the Living Dead seires. I know kids that though Dawn was an original. So what does that do? It gets people interested in going back and watching the originals. 10 Artists could paint the same tree in 10 different ways. People will like 1 out of 10 the best for their own personal reasons. Who says that 1 artist gets to paint that 1 tree and that's that. That's the painting of the tree and there will never be another one of that tree. Weird analogy I know, but it goes to show you that sometimes it's nice to see a story through someone elses eyes.....unless those eyes belong to Rob Zombie.

disanti 3:14pm, May 8, 2008

Oh and about the Exorcist...I guess all I am asking is that they stop calling it the scariest movie of all time. If they stop doing that, then I respect the movie a little more. Plus, the Exorcist got it's updated version with The Exorcism of Emily Rose in my opinion. Similar characters, religious themes, but just a different story. You know, cause Emily wasn't running around pissing on the floor.

bigkongfan 8:16am, May 9, 2008

bigkongfan 8:33am, May 9, 2008

You make many good points, disanti. As I said, I think a remake of F13 makes pretty good sense. I can see that one having potential. Crappy sequels are a drag. And I share your opinion on Zombie's Halloween. Not good. Not good at all. (If you want to give Michael Meyers a backstory couldn't you do better than just cobble together cliches from the White Trash Playbook?) And if the scripts being shot are the ones that passed muster I certainly don't want to see film versions of the ones that didn't. Come to think of it, I wonder how many of those rejects make up the After Dark film slate? My major point is that there are many, many terrific novels that would form the basis of superb horror films. Does Hollywood pick up on ANY of these? Does Platinum Dunes have any plans to do so? Not that I've heard. Hollywood is too busy with retreads, crappy sequels and inferior J-Horror remakes. And there doesn't seem to be any end in sight. As for painting the tree? I get your analogy there. But what Hollywood is doing is more akin to an artist who isn't painting his take on the same tree. He's copying the first artist's tree and calling it his own. He's not even looking at the freakin' tree! And while he's at it he's ignoring all the trees no one has painted yet. there's an entire forest of possibilities. That artist? He settles for doing a paint-by-numbers knockoff and thinks he's producing art. What I'm saying is that Platinum Dunes is the Bob Ross of horror. Nice guy, that Bob Ross but a Van Gogh he ain't.

evilgooey 5:06pm, May 13, 2008

I am behind this remake 100%! I remember seeing the first Friday the 13th on HBO around 1981. Friday 2 I believe was the scariest, and FridaY 3 was the first one I saw in the theatres. I cannot wait to see what your talented team has cooked up for us. As for the nay-sayers, well, fans are passionate. This being a franchise movie, will bring out the best, and worst of the Horror community fanbase. So, take heart that the OVERWHELMING majority of us are completely excited about this project... and the un-silent minority will most certainly jump the fence on the night of the release to say they've been supportive all along. Carry On Fellas! Thanks for the Updates. Mike S. Pittsburgh

the birkhill slasher 11:03am, May 16, 2008

I am behind the NOES remake although i am concerned over your choice of writers.I dont think the people who wrote FVJ are the right people to bring Freddy back in style.I hope im proved wrong.

neon66 8:11pm, May 16, 2008

This is why people like Quentin and Robert exist. Period. Go home folks, show's over. And for the record: Halloween might not have turned out all that well for some... (white trash background, yeah yeah, whatever)... House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects were friggin' great, so leave Rob Zombie out of this. P.S.: I LOVE movies from all time periods (including Melies, Lang, etc.). Remakes can turn out cute, but for the love of god, enough is enough. The people demand less cute stuff! No more Disney b**ches!! Prosecution rests, your honor.

Eight Bit Devil 1:22pm, May 17, 2008

Fuck the negative people on this comment board. Thank you for making another Friday the 13th/Jason movie. If you other fuckwads dont want to see the movie, then don't. If you are so smart and talented why arent you making the movie?

SplAtterDay 11:20am, May 21, 2008

Yup-yup !! Big thanks for making another Friday. Remake whatever... Im just happy to see the big guy in the mask on the big screen again. Hey, I was there at the drive-in in 1980 as a 9 year old - and I'll still be there as a 38 year old. I mean really people - with ALL the dreadful movies that are being made, we should be happy that their STILL making slasher movies !!

SplAtterDay 11:41am, May 21, 2008

BTW.... I really am a fan of the Hallowen, TCM, AH remakes. As long as it sticks to a hard R rateing - Im happy. I would rather see a remake on the big screen than sitting thru a dumb ass romantic-comedy, action, or Superbad type film. BTW 2 ..... ever think about remakeing Dark Night of the Scarcrow ? ( the Bubba didn't do it one ?? )

Pulp02mjb 3:59pm, June 5, 2008

I know alot of people hate the remakes but I enjoy them. I mean, I'm all for horror and a good scare. PD should do a take on a werewolf film. I'm a big fan of "An American Werewolf in London" and the "Howling." What do you guys think???

Dr. Alpt 1:47am, June 26, 2008

It's a shame they are remaking all of the classics. But I can't say much. I'll always be grumbling about them, but will be 100% there watching them after they are released. Can't wait. *thumbs up*

MrsKrueger 2:56am, July 22, 2008

Seriously, Let's just remake every Goddamn amazing horror movie instead of writing our own Goddamn movies.. WOOHOO!! GO CREATIVITY! GO NEW IDEAS! You're really going to remake A Nightmare on Elm Street, one of the GREATEST movies of ALL time?! And especially WITHOUT Robert Englund???!! You've got to be KIDDING me. Just how do you plan to make that work? I'm interested. It isn't possible. haha, someone told me you were considering MICHAEL ROSENBAUM for his part!? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! remaking that movie, is your worst mistake EVER. It CANNOT be any better than the original, and it certainly CANNOT be pulled off WITHOUT Robert. And, with Michael Bay?! The only thing he knows how to do is make things blow up in the direction of a camera. You utterly DISGUST me. I pray to God no one goes to see it when it comes out.

scriptwriter1 10:58am, August 1, 2008

Hello Brad! My name is Lj Johnson and i am a screenwriter, currently living in South Carolina! I just want to say that i love the work you do and will always! Also, i would like to work with you in the near future!! So, i wanted to know when will you be looking for great, outside projects???

Mercurycj 1:03pm, August 14, 2008

When will you make a remake of The Thing cause im kinda getting bored of the old one and i used to love it, remake that next go on you know you want to ... would could add some crap about global warming in there too as all the other films seem to be if that would help a remake

Mercurycj 1:06pm, August 14, 2008

also if you want to try to make an original film lots of companys are makeing game into films like bioshock. you could try to make F.E.A.R into a movie cause that game always makes me jump and is the best horror/spooky game out there i think a new one is comming out soon too.

Katknipp 11:50am, October 7, 2008

Big horror fan... the new halloween made me sick... i warned ppl not to see it... DO NOT TOUCH FREDDY!!!!!! These classic films are called classic for a reason... Try to get original... not too hard... blood; guts; screaming women and a killing stranger..

Katknipp 11:52am, October 7, 2008

If Freddy is touch I will be on the outside of the theater protesting against it... several will...

jhowington32 8:44pm, October 8, 2008

katknipp... if you want somthing orig. then go fucking write somthing! who wouldnt want the chance to see a good nightmare flick on the big screen again.. the problem with ppl like you is, you try to compare this to the orig. you cant do that.. two different films. different persons point of view.. the first elm street scared the shit out of me. the rest of them i liked but in no way shape or form were they well written or well make. all of the campy cheesey stuff sucked.. and why do ppl think robert england is so great? hes cool.. and yes he IS freddy, but come on! how cool would it be to see somone else slip on the glove and give that charactor a shot.. i think and im sure alot of other ppl would think the same thing.. remakes have been around for decades.. get over it.. its gonna happen, and i can damn well gaurentee you will be in line waiting to see this movie with every other hater out there.. no remake will really stand out from the orig. but its a good time at the movies.. you cant sit there and weigh it aginst the orig.. it isnt fare.. and halloween was good! rob zombie did a good job.. nobody cried like a little bitch when john carpenter remade village of the damned.. or the thing.. so fuck off.. and keep your negativity off this site!

keep remaking movies. I hope you make the elm street remake very scary. Keep it grounded like the original. But add original kills this time around. If robert england wants to have a cameo he should have one. I hope you find a good actor that will fit the role of freddy not just some amateur. Anyway good luck with the elmstreet remake i hope it goes well for u platinum dunes.

jhowington32 4:42pm, January 6, 2009

Robert Knepper as freddy!!!

MrsKrueger 9:20pm, January 6, 2009

You suck. and are realllly stupid if you think you're achieving something by remaking all these movies. You didn't write them. youuuu suckkk. SSSSS UUUUU CCCCC KKKKK. ROBERT ENGLUND IS THE ONLY FREDDY. AND YOU'RE EFFING STUPID IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE.

Englundisfreddy 4:01pm, January 9, 2009

First of all, I wish you weren't remaking A Nightmare on Elm Street. I would much rather see an indirect sequel, prequel, or another Freddy Vs. Jason. But, if you must remake it, Robert Englund must be Freddy Krueger. He is the franchise. He is not just a killer with a mask you can throw any guy under. If you make this movie without him, you pretty much eliminate all of the fans hopes to see him portray Freddy once again on the big screen. You need to atleast offer the role to him. If he is not interested in playing Freddy Krueger again, then you could release an official statement from him saying he declined the role. I think if this were the case and we knew it was his decision, fans including myself would be much more inclined to accept, and support the remake. And it had better be rated R.

Ouga Bouga 10:53pm, January 28, 2009

that's the problem. we love rob/freddy. we've grown attached to him. we're not supposed to like him, he's a child killer. there's nothing worse than that. we've seemed to have forgotten that. he's not scary anymore. we need someone to portray the character as the monster that he is. i want to audition for the role of freddy and then i'll show you what scary is!

g1ng3rsnap9ed 2:21pm, February 1, 2009

Okay, I have a LOT to get off of me chest with you greedy, money-hungry bastards. I made this account specifically for the occasion. First off, haven't you prematurely ended enough Horror franchises TCM, F13, and now A Nightmare On Elm Street? Not only this, but Robert Englund will not be replaying Freddy!!? If you remake ANOES, that is one thing, but an actor other than Robert Englund playing Freddy Krueger!!? That is downright blasphemous!!! There is no need for the original Nightmare to be remade, it has aged elegantly, and holds up even to today's standards. (Which actually are quite low, due to talentless hacks like you.) However, since for whatever reason you feel the urge to do so, ($$$) just give the fans Robert Englund as Freddy. If not as Freddy, give him at least ten minutes of screen time in a cameo or whatever. If not, then I swear to God that I will start the greatest cinematic boycott ever known against your film. Me and my friends will do whatever we can in our power to prevent your films from making money, boycotts, posting spoilers in the anticipation Threads on theinternet, anything that can possibly take that extra 8 bucks away from you. So please, for the love of the fans, (And for your love of money.) let Robert Englund play Freddy. If not, then I hope that anybody and everybody and their entire families at platinum deuche (OOPS! That's not a Typo!!) rot in Hell you talentless, greedy, selfish, money-hungry low-life hacks.

the_bat91 9:08am, February 15, 2009

Hey guys, just wanna congratulate u on Friday the 13th, it was easily the best in the series. You've been getting lots of shit from horror fans saying ''greedy bastards'' and ''ruining franchises'' but it's all bullshit! As not only a horror fan but a film fan lets face it, the original friday sucked, it was a great idea and it was fun but it sucked, u guys came along and did what i believe remakes should be all about, taking a weak film and realising its full potential, and with Friday u made the definitive Jason movie. In my opinion u also made a better Texas Chainsaw movie too, the casting was great, the pacing, the tension, everything, it started what we all now call ''remake horror'' and i have to admit this is shaping up to be the golden age of horror, be gone with the J-horror scary child invasion and torture porn and take the great idea's of the past that never got the budgets they deserved and fulfill their potential. Sure, u are gonna take some very well made films along your reign (like elm street) and all the negative cunts will whinge about who's playing these great characters but just a few years ago comic book fans went into meltdown when a certain Heath Ledger was announced as the new Joker, the crew kept the faith and went with their beliefs and in return the same whingin fanboys were treated to the greatest performance of a villain in comic-film history. You're choices have always been good, sean bean being a great choice in the hitcher for example, while the movie itself was weak it was also a lesson for u guys, everybody needs them! So whoever u got in mind for freddy let it be, dont go paying reobert englund ridiculous sums of money to keep the fanboys from shitting their pants.

Jerry Lloyd would be a fantastic choice. Whether the new Freddy will be the joke tossing guy of the later movies or the dead serious Freddy from the first film. Jerry would be great at it. I have directed Jerry in a feature and a short he's the best.

marckellyv1 7:14pm, March 11, 2009

I have never ever logged into any site to comment on anything and will never again but I felt that I had to say that I'm totally sick to death of crappy remakes. Look at previous ones; The Hitcher, Friday the 13th! Yep, the special effects were better (many years in the advance of s/e will do that) but apart from that they were second rate and to my mind just ruin the original which are classics! And there's talk of Near Dark, Nightmare on Elm St and (I shudder to think) The Birds!! How greedy can you be? To be cashing in on someone else's creation/work? I love movies! Totally love 'em but enough is enough. Surely you guys can pick original movies instead of butchering original classics? But after seeing The Unborn I guess not. Not cool in my opinion. I'm deleting my registration so if anyone wants to come back on my comments its a waste of time, I won't see it.

samakina 6:30pm, March 17, 2009

Jerry Lloyd would be awesome as the new Freddy. Check out his performance in Bullets, Blood & a Fistful of Ca$h....he's f***ing evil, man.

Teddy Ironclad 1:27am, March 18, 2009

You should seriously cast Jerry Lloyd, as the new Freddy. He can bring and edge to that character that no one else could ever imagine pulling off.

Jerry Lloyd! Jerry Lloyd! Jerry Lloyd!!!!!!!!!!!!

thelilgogetter 4:10am, March 24, 2009

If you want to do justice to Nightmare on Elm Street (One of my favorite films growing up) then I have to concur that you must consider Jerry Lloyd for the part of Freddy. Have you seen his eyes? They are insane. The cunning and subtle nuance of every role I've seen him play is fantastic for Freddy. He scares the crap out of people.

mrmooooore 12:30pm, March 24, 2009

Wow. I get goosebumps just THINKING about Jerry Lloyd. It would be tremendous to see an up-and-comer like Jerry have a go at Freddy, all respects, of course, to the esteemed Mr. Englund. You guys have to check him out!

Chamaileon 12:47pm, March 24, 2009

Yeah - Jerry Lloyd is the creepiest, scariest actor I've even seen. He would be an amazing choice for your new Freddy!

JLLO_FAN 6:41pm, March 27, 2009

You totally should use Jerry for your next Freddy. OMG he would be Excellent. Psycho scary dude.

BloodyJudy 8:40pm, March 27, 2009

Freddy is bigger than anyone who plays him. He should not be overwhelmed by an actor people already know well. It takes a skilled and flexible performer, who is still making his reputation in film. Jerry Lloyd!

Belvera 1:47pm, March 29, 2009

Jerry Lloyd is a great choice for Freddy!!!! He can be as scary, as freaky, as weird as the character needs! Terrific Actor - use him!!!

Honestly I wasnt too impressed with the Friday the 13 re-imagining,but other than that you guys have made some awsome movies.Im a huge Platnum Dunes Fan.Ive been a Fan from the start. You guys make exelent movies, so keep up the good work. I cant wait to see your upcoming FilmS!!!

jonholland84 10:56am, May 3, 2009

This is my concept for what Freddy would look like in the 2010 film. I like what I’m hearing so far, when it comes to the script/ story of the new film. The original movie was very original/artistic and I feel art direction for the re-imaging should be to. I know that the overall look of the re-imaged film such as Texas chainsaw & Friday the 13th have had this orange grunge tint to them and I’m sure The new Nightmare will have this same look , which is fine with me. I think it would be really cool to see something totally opposite and use a basic concept of complementary colors and flip what we have seen from Freddy in the past. This would truly separate the new film from the past ones. Freddy’s traditional colors are red & black. So let’s make them green and black, let’s keep the hat, burn scars, knifes, but let’s make a few changes. I would also like to see his clothes more sharp looking and not tattered, personally I think that would be scarier to see a well dressed man, with a burned face and knifes. I know that by changing these things you would catch a lot of crap from fans, but the diehard ones are going to see it regardless. This is just my idea and what I would do if I were in charge of the project. (A cool fact about myself is that I share the same birthday as the release of the original film 11/16/1984) Jon Holland

Mr Randall 11:38am, June 7, 2009

Platinum Dunes sucks hairy ass!! Give us something new you lazy, talentless, moneygrabbing arseholes. You remake horror films because you couldn't come up with an original idea if a chainsaw wielding ex American wrestler in a hockey mask threatened to cut you to ribbons. WOW! So some college students have sex in the R rated Friday 13th - gee i bet they even drink and swear, you're so radical. Brad Fuller - you're just a flea. A parasite. get an honest job or go back to adverts. Mr Randal. London,GB.

kickdown 10:34am, June 17, 2009

God you people suck. Jason does not run or hunt!!!! Now You are replacing Robert? I could of made these movies better. Hell my four year old son could have done better than you. You are all hacks!!!!

rtin611 2:05pm, June 19, 2009

I for one think you guys are doing a great job with the remakes fuck what all the negative assholes are saying i think the remakes are good because its brings new people to the franchise, people whos never even seen any of these see the remake and say that was good and makes them want to go see the movie it was based off of so really people aren't these remakes helping the older ones think about it people!!!!!

catrunner89 1:58am, July 21, 2009

look here platinum dunes, don't worry about the haters, that's the point, get as many haters as u can get cuz all they like to hate on is real shit. they're mad cuz u guys are matching or outdoing the originals haha they're gonna go berserk over that but it's true even though they don't realize it, anyway shit keep doing remakes as long as they impress and so far they are, it's exciting to see jason and freddy and so on come back especially the way u guys are bringin em back(more badass!) and anyone who doesn't agree don't appreciate the originals enough anyway. 4 example i can't believe a guy further down was pissed cuz "jason doesn't run or hunt" how the fuck did people not get away from him before when he didn't unless they're handicapped seriously. since u guys added the "running and hunting" element to him(which he very much needed)a footrace wouldn't matter. because of that this remake is way better simply because it makes him impossible to get away from. before it was: go to crystal lake and if ur not a total dumbass u can easily sprint in one fuckin direction for as long as u can and ur safe, now it's: go to crystal lake and ur fucked, period. anyway...i know people are gonna talk shit on this comment so go ahead haters, feel free to hate on me, i love it haha

Poe1970 12:01am, August 10, 2009

I am usually one who doesn't care to much for remakes, at least most of them. Some are really good like John Carpenter's The Thing. Although I am not a fan of Friday the 13th or Texas Chainsaw Massacre (which wag a lot better then Friday the 13th by the way), I am looking forward to seeing what you will be doing with Nightmare on Elm Street. I would also like to suggest a movie to be remade, even though people will scream about. I think the time is right for Phantasm to be remade. If the dreamlike/nightmarish quality is kept through out, than you might have a real winner on your hands.

I'm gonna try my best to keep this short. Plantinum Dunes is a group of talentless, greedy guys with no excuse for the absolute crap they produce. Do you people really, honestly, truly think they're remaking these movies because they're die-hard horror fans? The same people who said, when asked about the central challenge of developing “The Birds” remake, “They peck and poke, so there’s not a lot of variety as to what can happen."??? "The Birds", my friends, is NOT a slasher flick. "The Birds" is a big name, something else that will rake in more money. Kinda like those other small names ... What were they? The Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Friday the 13th? Nightmare on Elm street? And Michael Bay with his own trash, I mean "Transformers". Their interest lies in producing what teens are eating up these days, which, unfortunately, is crap. Blood, guts, no original storyline, bad acting, cute guys and girls ... I'm 22 and I understand the difference. It's not the kids' fault, though, that our generation is being exposed to this bull. It's THEIR fault. Fortunately, they only have so many title they can use before theyre reduced to thinking on their own. Unfortunately, by that time, they'll be swimming in unearned money. But I'm here to tell you that when I make it to Hollywood I'm going to knock them out of the park. My name is Bo. I doubt there will be another director out there with the same name as vocal as I will be in taking them down. Or shall I say flushing them down.

Everyone leave them alone. OK if they ruin the movie that's there fault not yours. I was so very disappointed with the remake of Friday the 13th only cause Adrienne King is a relative of mine and her character Alice the lead role in the original was a big part of the movie. They should of had that character back for the lead in the remake. Not just the opening credits. And another thing Friday the 13th is suppose to be at a camp site next to a lake OK. There was only a camp ground in the movie for about 15 mins. LAME!!!! And Jared Padelecki or whatever was in it he is terrible. For a sequel if he returns please make Jason kill him in this one. If u wanna bring back Amanda yes do that i liked her. But really the remakes should bring back the original characters. For F13 part 2 they should have Jenny Field the lead actress in part 2 played by Amy Steel. They should bring that character back for the remake sequel. OK!!! Amy Steel did so good in that part. The only reason i think i will like Nightmare On Elm St is cause they are bringing back a lot of the original characters. Like Nancy she is such a big part of the first and third movies. So it's great that they have her character still in it. And Freddy. Of course Freddy is in this movie but the thing is with F13 Mrs Voorhees was the original killer OK. But you people at Platinum Dunes just wanted to make a movie with Jason. You did not think about the fans and it sucked big time. You could of maked the movie with Mrs Voorhees as the killer and Alice as the lead but no you decided to ruin the whole thing SOZ. If you make a remake the only way a lot of people will like it is if you bring back the original characters, Like you have done with Nightmare on elm st.

I Totally agree with the comment that Mrs Krueger put on this site. Yes nearly all the the horror films that this company has created have been remakes they have no idea how to make there own horror movie. I hate that stupid directer Marcus Nispel cause all the movies her directs are remakes. Fucking Assholes. God they piss me off.
