We learned this evening that the screenplay for the sequel has already been completed and turned in, so Summit is rushing to find a new director who can get behind the camera ASAP for a release next year. In addition, to clarify on the news that film will be shot back-to-back with ECLIPSE, the third book in the franchise by Stephenie Meyer, we learned that the actual plan is to have a SAW-esque turnaround. What this means is that they'd like to jump right into Eclipse following NEW MOON and have the film in theaters by 2010.
