This is just about the most idiotic film I've seen coming to DVD and since every other horror site finds it newsworthy, I guess I might as well tell you about it. Arriving on DVD February 10th from Sony Home Entertainment is AGAINST THE DARK, a new horror film starring Steven Seagal. I know what you're thinking, do Steven Seagal movies hold up? The answer is simply 'NO'. Read on for more details on this "gem"...

On February 10, 2008, Steven Seagal fans will race to add his first horror film to their collections when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases Against the Dark on DVD for the SLP of $24.96. This eye-popping DVD includes a making of featurette called “Fighting the Shadows: Behind the Scenes of Against the Dark.” Katana master Tao (Steven Seagal) leads a special ops squad of ex-military vigilantes on a massacre mission, their target: vampires. On the post apocalyptic globe, sucked dry by bloodthirsty vampires, a few remaining survivors are trapped in an infected hospital. Tao is their only hope and he knows the only cure is execution. Now it’s time for the last stand against the flesh-eating vampires and there’s nothing left to lose but the last of humanity. The film also stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s cousin, Tanoai Reed (TV’s “American Gladiators”), as well as fan favorite Keith David (Crash, The Chronicles of Riddick), Skye Bennett (The Good Night, Shadow Man) and Daniel Percival (Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj). Against the Dark was directed by first-time director and seasoned cinematographer Richard Crudo (American Pie, Pistol Whipped), written by Matthew Klickstein (Dinner Time) and produced by Steven Seagal (Urban Justice, Pistol Whipped), and Phillip B. Goldfine (Urban Justice). Against the Dark has a run time of approximately 94 minutes and is rated R for bloody violence/gore, some language and brief nudity. DVD Special Features Includes: * ”Fighting the Shadows: Behind the Scenes of Against the Dark” Featurette
