Some news came in this evening confirming the project is finally getting off the ground as Paramount Vantage - who is taking a huge stab at genre pics in the next few years - will handle international sales on writer-director Gela Babluani's English-language remake of his own film, which was the winner of the 2006 Sundance Grand Jury Prize (big stuff!). The release reported that Sam Riley, 50 Cent, Mickey Rourke and Jason Statham will all be starring in the story of a man who steals a mysterious package and gets sucked into an underground gambling ring (Russian roulette anyone?).
