We're told that the deal is yet to be signed, but if everything goes as planned the Dunes would like to hire genre favs Damian Shannon and Mark Swift to handle the difficult task of bringing Freddy Krueger back to the big screen. The duo currently wrote the screenplay for the remake of Friday the 13th and New Line Cinema's 2003 epic battle of Freddy vs Jason, which tells me these just might be the right guys for the job.
