Sean Clark writes in: Last night at the new Arclight Theaters in the Sherman Oaks Galleria Director David Cronenberg was on hand to discuss his film Easter Promises, a part of the AFI's Director's Series. After his Q & A I was able to chat with him a bit about proposed remakes of his films and his future in horror. I asked the legend what his feelings were on remakes being done of his films, specifically most recently Scanners and The Brood? He replied, "Well that hasn't happened yet," I interjected, "It looks like Scanners is moving forward with Darren Lynn Bousman directing," to which he replied, "To be completely honest I could live without it." Good stuff! He also told his that he was approached to be part of Mick Garris' Masters of Horror series. "Yes. Mick and I are very good friends and he asked me but it was all scheduling. I just couldn't make it work." Responding to the news from last week I asked him hif he ever plans on returning to the genre, his response, "If the right project comes along I would love to." - Sean Clark
