it kinda kills the inner mind imagery if u read the book |

Insult to the book and a poor attempt at being God of War. |
 | JSPOOLE 4:11am, July 12, 2009
Yeah it's a real insult bringing the story to a new medium.
Jesus, some of you need to grow up. It's not replacing the book, or ruining it. |

I've read the book and I'm still excited for this one. Looks more fun than God of War to me. Does anyone feel that the settings in this resemble Jericho a little? It's a good thing though- that game was beautiful. |

Actually, it is ruining and replacing the book JSPOOLE. People are going to get their experience, a skewed and shitty adaptation, through this garbage. This game is going to taint the reading of The Divine Comedy and prevent others from reading it.
JSPOOLE, this is like a 3 years-old kid applying your girlfriend's makeup when you are taking her to a wedding to meet your entire family. She is going to look like a retarded indian the first time she meets everyone. That is the lens that she will be seen through forever.
This does change everything about the book. |

I think if this game is actually good, it might inspire more literate ppl to read the divine comedy. But thats just wishful thinking.
This game looks really pretty, but if the gameplay is like god of war i wont touch it, i fucking hated god of war. |

After....grow the fuck up. Become a man.
It's a book, a book that if people want to read it, it's in the libarary. It shouldn't bother you if people read it or not, and if you like it, don't let a game change your mind or what other people think, that's for tools.
It's a book, it will still exist, and it's not some sacred holy relic that can be defiled. It's so childish people act like that whenever a book or something is adapted into a new forum. |

It isn't an accurate telling JSPOOLE. You can't call your game Dante's Inferno when it isn't Dante's Inferno. You are clearly a pretentious know-nothing, but that's okay. By your reasoning, I can make a cinematic biography about JSPOOLE being a cross-dressing necro-pedophile (I am assuming this is inaccurate about you), and it would be okay?
This game should not carry the title that it does. A Journey Into Dante's Inferno would have been an acceptable choice. It is misleading. Dante's The Divine Comedy has stood the test of time for 700 years now and is a major part of the canon because of its stand-alone brilliance. Read a book for once in your pretentious know-nothing life. |
 | JSPOOLE 1:23am, July 13, 2009
Hahaha I'm a pretencious no nothing, and you are the little bitch who is acting so high and mighty over a 700 year old book suddenly dying out over a videogame?
Here's a hint, braniac, if it's been around that long, I doubt a videogame is going to kill it off.
And do you know what ADAPTATION means? I'll give you a day or two to look it up on google. Go on. Here's a hint though: It doesn't mean word for word, that would be a direct translation. You know how some mediums are different, yeah? You get that right? Well you need to fit the strengths of one medium and taylor it to another. Not hard to get.
You sir, are a moron. |

Can't wait to play this game!! The scenery looks like nothing I've seen before in a game, but have been dying to run around in for years. Looks like a massive amount of fun. And I'm super psyched it's coming to more systems than just 360, or PS3. PC gamers get so little love these days... |
