Atari and Gamecock Media Group are in the process of making a game called Legendary. The first person shooter is focused around Charles Deckard, he is a thief who is tricked into stealing Pandora's Box. Well, he accidentally opens in and unleashes everything inside upon the world.
“This exciting and original title takes the lead in our Atari Shooter line up,” said Mathias Hautefort, Executive Vice President of publishing and production, Atari. “Producing a game of this quality and scale is a major undertaking, but the highly talented team at Spark Unlimited is more than up to the job.
“This is the project we want to be working on and it’s shaping up to be something amazing,” said Craig Allen, CEO of Spark Unlimited. “Legendary is the type of game we want every gamer, regardless of system allegiance, to get the chance to play. We’re taking our time to ensure optimum performance, regardless of platform.”
Legendary tells the story of Charles Deckard, an art thief who is duped into stealing Pandora’s Box. When he inadvertently opens it, he releases hordes of beasts thought to be fictional – such as werewolves and gryphons – into an unprepared modern world. A full scale war between man and myth begins, and it is quickly complicated by the actions of powerful secret societies. As the person responsible for releasing this terror, Deckard’s unwittingly become the only person capable of containing it once more and saving civilization from being destroyed by the terrifying creatures."
That looks really cool. I love blending the old mythological creatures with a modern world. It looks like a pretty good game idea... I don't really get the comparison to BioShock though...
It's nothing like Bioshock....just because the main character uses a "hand power", that makes it a Bioshock copy? You won't get multiple plasmids...and plus the animus pulse "hand power" in Legendary is more of a melee than a weapon which is what the plasmids are in Bioshock.
Really? I think even a copy of BioShock would be awesome =D The creatures in this look kick ass I'm hoping it'll live up to the hype it's trying to get
