2K Games is going to be releasing everyone's favorite game BioShock for the Playstation 3. It is in production and is confirmed for October of this year. That just adds BioShock to the list of many many horror games coming out in October of this year. I might just be poor for Christmas this year, sorry everyone!
The game originally released for Xbox 360 and Windows has won many awards, and has mostly gotten nothing but amazing reviews, which is the main reason for its Playstation release. The game is going to have new content specially for the PS3, and there has been talks of new tonics and plasmids.
“Since BioShock for Xbox 360 and Games for Windows won countless 2007 Game of the Year awards, we are excited to see the impact of this stellar title for the PLAYSTATION 3 system when it debuts this fall,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “Over the coming months we look forward to revealing the new features and content that will make this a must-have game for its new audience, as well as for those who enjoyed it on the other platforms.”
Now this means I am probably going to have to re-buy the game when it comes out for the PS3, so I can check out all the new sweet stuff. It just sucks that a bunch of people are going to have to buy the game over again. I guess we can hope for some downloadable content for the Xbox 360 around the time of the PS3 release.
Eh...I don't have a PS3, but even if I did, I doubt I'd buy this game again. Not that it isn't awesome, and I'm sure the PS3 version will be top notch...but I doubt the new content will make it worth the $60. I loved Resident Evil 4 so much, I had to have the PS2 version when it came out (because of the bonus content not featured in the original Gamecube version), but when it was all said and done...it wasn't worth the extra money. Probably the same deal here.
You can wait until it becomes a best seller and buy it for 20 dollars
