As posted on 1up UK magazine Xbox World has said that Resident Evil 5 is going to have online playable co-op throughout the entire game.
Chris Redfield will be possibly helped out during the game by an unknown female, if not more. Computer controlled when you play alone, and by a friend if playing co-op. If this all comes to fruition this game is going to be that much better.
The mercenaries mini game from Resident Evil 4 will be making a comeback. The game will take place somewhere in Africa, and at the start of the game everyone will as of yet be uninfected.
As of what they are saying the game is planned to be released in 2009. And there will be some old school returning characters. I wonder if they decided to add the co-op in because of Left 4 Dead's amazing looking co-op. We'll see, but I do really hope they do it.
