New week means new comic releases and here's some highlights: Dark Horses' Beast Of Burden #2 and IDW's Last Resort #3. Both of these series are kinda different in the horror genre but I find suprisingly refreshing. Beasts of Burden follows a group of dogs and the haunted undead hijinx they get in. Last Resort can best be described as a 70's action/horror movie complete with boobs and blood...not too mention great covers by Darywn Cooke. Full list after the break...Comic List

ashecorvn 2:04am, October 22, 2009 I'm really digging The Last Resort but have yet to get one of the Darwyn Cooke covers...those are variants, not the regular covers. My local shop has not gotten any variant issues. I love the regular cover for issue #1 though.
Reset 2:24pm, October 22, 2009 That's really odd....while the cooke cover was a variant for issue 1....the subsuqent issues Cooke covers were the normal covers...odd. Either way I love the tongue in cheek pin up nature of the covers...and the story isn't that bad either! haha
