SDCC '08: NEW 'Exorcist' Figure Features Regan in Bed!

One of the coolest things I came across at the San Diego Comic Con was a giant prototype of NECA's Regan figure from THE EXORCIST. Now, this isn't an image of the infamous "spider walk" scene, this is a classic moment where Reagan is in bed and completely possessed. Read on for a look! SDCC '08: 'Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds' Art and Monster Prop!

At the Dimension Extreme/Genius Products booth we stumbled across the first art and an awesome prop for John Gulager's Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds, which arrives on DVD October 7th. It is the morning after, and we pick up with the survivors of "Feast's terrifying night before. There are more monsters and they are even angrier/hungrier. The monsters have made it into the small neighboring town in the middle of nowhere and the surviving locals have to band together to figure out how to survive. Like that is even a real possibility. Will Honey Pie pay for her desertion? Will Tuffy make it to Heroine's kid in time? Is that Harley Mom's twin sister? So many questions, it will take another sequel to answer them all. SDCC '08: 'Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans' Props

Some props were on display at this week's San Diego Comic Con for Lakeshore and Sony Screen Gems' Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans, which was directed by Patrick Tatopoulos.The prequel is set in the Dark Ages and traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires and their one-time werewolf slaves, the Lycans. SDCC '08: 'Dexter' Toys, Props and Bobbleheads on Display!

It was announced in March that Showtime Networks Inc. has announced that it has awarded a licensing contract for their critically acclaimed original drama, DEXTER, to manufacturer Bif Bang Pow! The show is already gearing up for its third season as it's also hit prime time in repeats. While walking the San Diego Comic Con we came across prototype figures and a bunch of props from DEXTER, all of which can be found inside. SDCC '08: First Look at Marvel's 'The Stand' Comic

If you head on over to AICN you can check out your first look at Marvel's upcoming comic adaptation of Stephen King’s classic novel THE STAND, illustrated by Mike Perkins and written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. After the world is decimated by a man-made plague, a battle of literally Biblical proportions ensues between the survivors. Watch for more hopefully from the floor of the San Diego Comic Con.

SDCC '08: IDW Publishing Signings and Panel

A bunch of horror happenings will get underway at this weeks San Diego Comic Con at the IDW Publishing booth as Comic-Con Guest of Honor Joe Hill (son of Stephen King) will be signing copies of his popular LOCKE & KEY, which is this month's top comic in Wizard Entertainment Magazine. Book artists Gabriel Rodriguez will also be signing. Ashley Wood (World War Robot) and Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night) will also be signing. IDW's panel will be held Saturday, July 26 from 11:00 – 12:00pm in ROOM 3.

Halo-8 Entertainment is heading to the sold-out San Diego Comic Con on Saturday July 26th with starlets Tiffany Shepis ("NIGHTMARE MAN"), Melissa Bacelar ("PINK EYE," Lionsgate's upcoming "SKINNED ALIVE"), Katie Nisa ("THREAT"), and Joanna Angel (TLC's "L.A. INK," "SICK & TWISTED HORROR") to preview the studio's most ambitious production yet: an interactive horror-comedy called "SLUMBER PARTY SLAUGHTERHOUSE: THE GAME," created by award-winning filmmaker Matt Pizzolo ("THREAT," upcoming graphic novel "GODKILLER"). SDCC '08: See 'Trailer Park of Terror' For FREE

At this week's San Diego Comic Con, Summit Entertainment will screen Trailer Park of Terror for FREE on Thursday night at midnight at the Gaslamp District Theater. Tickets will be available at the Imperium Comics' booth (#2005) beginning tonight. Based on the popular Imperium Comics series, Trailer Park of Terror. Six troubled high school students and their chaperon, an optimistic youth ministries Pastor, return from an outdoor character building retreat in the mountains. During a raging storm, their bus crashes, hopelessly stranding them in the middle of the Trucker's Triangle, a forgotten locus of consummate evil in the middle of nowhere. The hapless group seeks shelter for the night in a seemingly abandoned trailer park they find down the road. However, when the sun sets, it's not refuge they find. Instead, terror finds them in the form of Norma, a damned redneck reaper with a killer body who dispenses vengeance and death aided by her cursed companions, a bloodthirsty brood of Undead trailer trash.

Devil's Due's 'Chopper Zombie' Rides to the Big Screen

Thomas Beers, Original Prods., and comicbook publisher Devil's Due are moving forward with Chopper Zombie, about a motorcycle builder who refuses to sell his formula for a new superfuel to a dangerous corporation. When a team of thugs drowns him in his own toxic creation, he rises from the dead with a score to settle. Todd Livingston ("The Black Forest," "The Wicked West") will pen the graphic novel, with Scott Keating ("Death and the Man Who Could Not Die," "Elk's Run") handling the art. Devil's Due will launch the book at next week's Comic-Con in San Diego alongside a custom zombie chopper assembled by "Monster Garage's" creators. Title hits store shelves July 30. "Chopper Zombie" becomes the latest book for Devil's Due to go into development as a feature, following "Drafted," "Lost Squad," "Serpo" and "Hack/Slash." ...Read More

Head on over to Fandango now and score yourself FREE tickets to see Lionsgate's The Midnight Meat Train (review) at the San Diego Comic Con, Friday, July 25th at the stroke of midnight. The film - adapted from a Clive Barker short story - features a commuter's run-in with a New York subway serial killer and a horde of subterranean cannibals. It arrives in limited theaters August 1st.

SDCC '08: 'Friday the 13th' Panel, New Synopsis

This week all of the studios will be sending in their schedules for this year's San Diego Comic Con. One of the big pieces of news to come in this morning was that Warner Bros. Pictures will have their Friday the 13th panel on Sunday, July 27th from 1-1:30 in Room 20. Stars Jared Padalecki and the new Jason Voorhees (Derek Meaks) will be on hand with Platinum Dunes producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Word on the street is that we'll see the trailer debut there, B-D will be on hand to report. In addition, we were supplied with the following synopsis: Retelling of the original Friday the 13th about teenaged summer camp counselors that are systematically slaughtered by a mysterious killer.

SDCC 07: Exclusive Video Interview with Jessica Alba!

If you head on over to BDTV you can watch our exclusive video interview with Jessica Alba, star of Lionsgate's upcoming The Eye remake, which hits theaters February 2008. The video is pretty funny as she was paired up with Dane Cook and obviously I didn't have any questions about their upcoming film Good Luck Chuck and you can tell Dane is getting restless, probably thinking "why the hell isn't he talking to me?" Good stuff.

Set in the isolated town of Barrow, Alaska, in the extreme northern hemisphere, which is plunged into complete darkness annually for an entire month. One director that I hold a special place in my heart for is Ryuhei Kitamura, who's VERSUS is one film that really got me into Japanese horror before it became "cool". When I found out he was coming to America to helm an adaptation to Clive Barker's Midnight Meat Train I freaked out.
