Well again, I liked it. It wasn't the greatest movie, but it was FAR from bad. I'm almost afraid to post this, cause I'm sure "Superfry" will put in his worthless 2 cents, and call me some kind of tasteless "Noob", as he seems to with EVERYONE who hasn't wasted away hundreds of hours on here posting this and that etc. I suppose he/she/it, was always a God on here.....right from bullshit comment one, never being a "Noob" himself/herself/itself. Superfry has never made a bad comment towards me yet, but fuck, I read it all the time towards others, and it's laughable how some people take this..."I'm fuckin better than anyone and CHRIST, I'm a whole lot tougher as well, so back off" bullshit attitude......it's pathetic and sad. Actually Superfry.........if you read it properly.......the "Christ" part was me swearing, right before I typed the "whole lot tougher as well" part. After looking at my comment, I can see how it would have been taken as the way you stated it though. I have no intention whatsoever to become anything other than someone who comes to a site to comment/discuss. I'm no better than anyone else, nor do I pretend to be. You would think a sequel would happen, BUT, it would have to be something very fresh, to carry on from here. I'm a huge fan, but it has to be something worth doing, and I have no idea where to begin. This last one was walking a fine line, and personally, it will only get finer from here on in. Interest has been raised, whether people liked it or not, now to keep the interest in a positive way will be extremely tough.

I think the film,for what it was,was actually decent,it could've been better just like any other given movie in the genre (or others),hell, i was thinking it was going to do ALOT worse both $$$ wise and other ways....the remake was risky b/c (some) people think what could be done in 1978,can be done even better in 2007 and it cant,obviously....hope that makes sense, lmao

it was a good movie for those who went there really wanting to see it.. the movie was bad for those who wanted it to be bad. so of course we can see all these people who dont get laid or apparently get off their computer (cause your on here all the time, get a life!) will say it sucked. they are close minded. dont bother arguing with them. its useless.

I could tear apart any movie......ANY movie. Nothing is perfect. There are just some people that refuse to take their blinders off. There are people who feel that because some people enjoyed this movie, it means they do not know anything about true horror/suspense etc. Some claim to be the "ultimate" Halloween fan, and think it's unholy to have remade it. Those comments have been laughable from the start. Although I agree that there have been FAR too many "Zombie fanboys", there is still many people who wanted this movie to happen, strictly for the sake of saving the franchise, I being one. That was accomplished. It never bothered me that this was a remake, and changed drastically. The original is still the original. I came home from opening night of this version, the first thing I did was walk over to my DVD collection, and stood in front of Carpenter's Halloween. No explosions, no mystical clouds came rolling in.....everything stayed the same. I even watched it since the remake......it played just fine. So now I sit back and wonder even more.....what the hell was all the fuss about. Everything is just fine. Everyone woke up the next day and went about their "business as usual". The movie was good. I enjoyed the hell out of it..............but that doesn't mean it was better.......just good on it's own, and definately a hell of a lot better than any sequel that would have been made. I hold the original so close to my heart, but I didn't even flinch at the prospect of a remake.....it was inevitable, and to get so pissed about it, just shows the need for professional help.......sorry.........it's just a movie.
