I can't help but wonder if this remake will stick with the orginal plot from the first "Friday the 13th"? Because if you remember correctly, Jason didn't even appear in the first film until the final scene as boy who jumps out of water. And if they stick to the orginal story, then how hell can they market a "Friday the 13th" remake if Jason isn't even in it? He didn't even start wearing the hockey mask until 3/4 through "Friday the 13th Part 3"!! This movie should be interesting...

What a crap idea!! Why remake a film such as this when you can just pump out another sequel. I can understand (although I don't always agree) remaking old horror films that don't have sequels coming out every few years(e.g. Hills Have Eyes, The Hitcher, etc), but if they want to make more money of the franchise just make another sequel. Don't mess with the original.

Sorry to say MFCMK, but the remake trend is not ending anytime soon. Being that this is the case, like HALLOWEEN, another classic horror film is being remade/re-imagined,etc. I for one would be sorry to hear that Mrs. Voorhees will be absent. I loved the original which had no Jason in it (til the dream sequence at the end, which was an awesome scare). I liked the more real element of the story about a mother's revenge on the counselors who let her son Jason drown. No offense to big Jason fans, but I thought the whole idea of him coming back from the dead in all the sequels was corny fantasy like the Halloween sequels.

This film doesn't needed to be remade. What the fuck is wrong with people? Friday the 13th is a great slasher film on it's own, even without Jason. You all know His mum would kick his ass anyways :D

Have Jason be human where he can get hurt,Make the characters likable before they get killed,Have Jason use all types of different weapons to kill his victims,Have the deaths be very gory,Show the camera angle where we only see Jason's hand and the weapon that is in it as he is gonna kill someone(but only for two or three of the kills),Don't have any off screen death scenes,Have the ch ch ch ha ha ha music,Have Jason be more slimmer and not so bulky,Have it take place at a camp,Have Jason fight a guy who puts up a good fight,Have it take place in the 80's(or have it set in the present but have the mountains block cell phones),Give Jason a good back story of why he is killing.

Voorhess is placed into the Foster Care system. On his 11th birthday, Jason is placed into a Catholic run Saint Vincent's Orphanage. He has only one friend- A girl named Alice Lehman. She started taking hormone pills and shaving her head to look similar."----------------------------- Unlike the original we see The Killer and it looks like Jasons, so we assume that it is in fact Jason. --------Pamela didn't reveal herself until the very end of part one, but we never saw the killer in part 1 until then- before this ist was shots of the shoes or the hand or the weapons, but never a full shot of the killer... Part 2 onward the killer is seen at some point. So thats how this trick is pulled.... But we can always just have it be Jason...At any rate thats my treatment I been pushing it all over the place, since this project was announced with slight changes made here and there....

Please, please, please make this a serious film. I am the biggest F13 fan in the world but I refuse to pay to see another POS like Jason X. Put Jason back in the woods. Put him at Crystal Lake. Show the Mrs. Voorhees stuff as a Camp Counselor telling a stories to the newbs. But most importantly, make it a serious horror film and it will kick ass at the box office.

Oh, and make Jason human again. He was much more scary in 2-4. Zombie Jason is cool but he is not scary.

Just make the timeline matc up with Rob Zombies Halloween! Or at least start in the 80's and end in the 90's.

How about they show a camp with counselors as they are fixing up a run down camp to get it ready for the summer campers,and then have it show Mrs.Voorhees is in a general store gettinging supplies and her son Jason is loading the truck as Mrs.Voorhees is talking to the the clerk.__________The camera could show Jason's entire body,but his head could be kept in the shadows so we don't see his face.___________It could show other customers arriving at the store and we can see their reactions to Jason's face as they walk by him._____________Then after a couple of scenes at the camp show a truck parked on the side of the road as Mrs.Voorhees is seen changing the flat tire as a car comes around the corner a little too fast and the car smashes right into Mrs.Voorhees and her truck.________________The two passengers get out of their car to see if the person they crashed into is still alive.____________They need to get help,and then they see a road sign saying Camp Crystal is three miles away._______So one of the passengers decides to stay with the accident as the other passengers heads to Camp Crystal to get some help._________________The passenger who stayed behind is approached by a figure who then kills him.__________Then Jason heads to Camp Crystal to kill the other passenger,but when Jason gets to the camp Jason doesn't know which one the passenger is,so Jason kills everyone at the camp to make sure that he gets the passenger who killed his mom.

What the heck does the HALLOWEEN remake has to do with the FRIDAY THE 13TH remake? They are two completly diffrent things. And Rob Zombie isen't over this, so why are we even trying to compare these two remakes to one another?

What do I think would make this film good? Make the tone of the film dark and serious and scary, i wanna hear the friday the 13th music from 1-4 thrown, I want this remake to be a throw back to the original four classics, try to make it as simelar to them as you can.

Canon! I'm completely opposed to the idea of a remake. They've basically remade the movie 8-9 times already, but each sequel has its little twist. Why not just make another sequel with the twist being that it's actually a good movie? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the F13 series. I have them all on my shelf at home, and I pull them down frequently to delight in the schlocky goodness of them. It's this love for all of them (well, except for Goes to Hell), and of the bizarre continuity of it all that makes me so opposed to the remake. Don't throw the canon away! Even if the story isn't gold, I like that their is a continuing story. Jason kills kids, Jason gets killed, Jason returns as a zombie, Tommy Jarvis chases after Jason, etc, etc. Don't invalidate this storyline. *Add* to it! If you want to make a good movie, great! But acknowledge what's come before it. Think of it as a little challenge. Man, I was so pissed when I saw Halloween H2O. Yeah, the Halloween movies turned into total shit after the second one, but there was a continuing thread. When I saw H2O, I just felt like, "well why the fuck did I watch 4-6? Thanks for wasting my time, assholes." Eh... whatever. Go ahead and "reboot" the franchise. I'll stick with the orignal series.

I'm tired of remakes, i'd like to see a good original idea. I know their has to be somebody out their with one. But back F13 I think wil prolly suck. hallloween remake wasnthorrible, but it was a disappointing as is most of all the remakes. So I do not have high hopes for this one at all. the original is a classic and you can't surpass it.

First of all a sequel wouldn't make any sense. After Freddy vs Jason, Jason X etc the plot has become so fucked up i don't think even the writers know what's going on! It was inevitable that Friday the 13th was going to be remade sooner or later. Let's hope they do something good with it and don't let it get out of hand this time. I dont think people should expect too much out of this movie... It will be what you expect, Jason killing a bunch of horny teens... But i ask for 1 thing! Bring back Kane Hodder!!!

I love all the friday movies, but jason is a Icon, and a anti hero.. They need to make jason evil and dark... make the movie serious... as if it realy took place... I want it to be the scariest film ever.... no more games please!!! do it well and make all the jason and friday fans shiver and want to see it again and again....
