Lionsgate's The Haunting in Connecticut is about to begin shooting in Winnipeg, Canada and today the cast has been officially rounded out. Inside you'll find out who will be joining Virginia Madsen, Tim Metcalfe and Adam Simon in the film directed by Peter Cornwell. The movie will recount the true story of a family forced to relocate near a clinic where their teenage son was being treated for cancer. The family begins experiencing violent, supernatural events that the parents first blame on stress from the illness, but they later discover that their new home is a former mortuary with a dark past.

Elias Koteas (Skinwalkers, Zodiac), Martin Donovan (The Alphabet Killer, Wind Chill) and Kyle Gallner (Sublime, Red Eye) have boarded the horror film "The Haunting in Connecticut" for Gold Circle Films and Lionsgate, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Virginia Madsen already is set to star in the thriller, which in the vein of "The Exorcist" is based on one family's experience with supernatural forces after settling into a new home.

Gallner will play Madsen's cancer-ridden son Matt, who becomes aware of the paranormal activity present around him. Koteas will play a priest and fellow cancer patient that Sara Campbell (Madsen) turns to for help. Donovan will play Madsen's husband.

The film, directed by Peter Cornwell and written by Adam Simon and Tim Metcalfe, began shooting this week in Winnipeg.

Koteas recently completed work on David Fincher's "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," which stars Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett also appears in David Auburn's "The Girl in the Park." Koteas is repped by UTA, Kipperman Management and attorney Shep Rosenman at Katz, Golden, Sullivan & Rosenman.

Donovan, whose credits include Showtime's "Weeds," will appear in the upcoming suspense thriller "Wind Chill" with Emily Blunt and Ashton Holmes. He is repped by Gene Parseghian at Parseghian-Planco Management and Don Buchwald & Associates.

Gallner has appeared on FX's "The Shield" and HBO's "Big Love" and is repped by Gersh, Paul Nicholls at Artistry Management and attorney Stewart Brookman at Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
