TIFF: New Artwork For Romero's 'Diary of the Dead'
Saturday, September 8, 2007

We've been supplied with your first look at new art for George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead, which will have it's world premiere tonight at the Midnight Madness portion of the Toronto International Film Festival. Watch for a review as soon as possible. With a story mixing elements of "The Blair Witch Project" and the long-running "Dead" series, the film will follow a group of college students shooting a horror movie in the woods who stumble upon a real zombie uprising. When the onslaught begins, they seize the moment as any good film students would, capturing the undead in a "cinema verite" style that causes more than the usual production headaches.

I think G.A. Romero should have quit at day of the dead.. his recent work has been disappointing to say the least.

This will be another dent in Romero's reputation. Diary of the Dead could have been something original and great but now it will make even Land of the Dead tolerable.

Not trying to start an argument but did you see Diary of the Dead yet DFTaker? My guess is no.....so how do you know that this will be bad already? BTW...I thought Land of the Dead was more tolerable then Day of the Dead by far. Both movies were somewhat mediocre but more watchable then most of the crap released today. I'm looking forward to this one. He said he's going back to his roots. So I'll give the man a chance.
