One film we cannot wait to see is Xavier Gens' (interview) French horror film, Frontière(s), which will have it's world premiere this Friday in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival (tix here). To celebrate, we had the very special opportunity to chat one-on-one exclusively with the director, who revealed to us his next project! Read on for the skinny.
Xavier tells Bloody-Disgusting in the interview a bit about his next horror film, which you can read here, "It’s an Historic movie about a shipwreck in the 18th century - where the survivor fall on an island inhabited by tribes of cannibals. It’s between the peter Jackson’s King Kong and peter Weir “Master and Commander”."
Frontière(s) synopsis: While an extreme right-wing candidate advances to the second ballot of the presidential election, a group of young armed robbers holes up in a backwoods inn. The inn is located in an old mining wasteland, and its managers are a particularly sordid lot (to wit, (neo-)Nazi cannibals).
