They did state that the screenplay was still in development, so one can only hope that the plot line posted here is either complete garbage or they really did see the backlash on the net and are going to re-write the story. PLEASE RE-WRITE THE STORY, PLEASE!!! That has to be one of the worst ideas in cinema history.

Who cares if the film is being cast right now or in 10 years? As long as it has that ridiculous plotline (that's been out for a while, before Bloody Disgusting published it here), then the movie will suck big harry man balls! All I want to hear from anyone at Amblin or Universal is that this plot is completely and utterly false. If this plot is true, please ask the person who came up with the most retarded plot in cinema history to retire (and Spielberg's last couple of films have been no prize, so if he didn't come up with this plot, he can still retire too, he's given his best films already (Saving Private Ryan, ET, & Schindler's List) so he can leave the scene now).

a message to spielberg films: stop putting out crap. period. what's next? dinosaurs invade the gaza strip and eat palestinians? How about some original ideas instead of rehashing the initial story three times. Jeez, Carnosaur was better than JP 3.
