Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release the atrocious Night of the Living Dead 3D on DVD October 9th, according to Davis DVD. This all-new 3D remake of the George A. Romero horror classic arrives with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 track. Extras include a commentary track, a making-of featurette, "Filming in 3-D - Behind the Scenes" featurette, a Q&A with the filmmakers, trailer and TV spot. Retail is $26.98. I'm assuming the release is NOT in 3D, so it's probably 50X worse than it was already. In the original a group of people hide from bloodthirsty zombies in a farmhouse.
I don't understand why you would assume it's not going to be in 3D. It is called Night of the Living Dead 3D, and the davisdvd article says "This all-new 3-d remake".
Oh, yeah, now I understand why you would assume that...
man, i had such high hopes for this film when i first heard about it and saw the trailer. hell, just the poster with sid haig and the shovel was enough for me. i seriously need to get off my ass and get into the horror movie industry as a director or something. i am quite fucking sure i could run circles around most of these chumps that are currently churning out horseshit!
The 1990 version was only I really needed when it came to a remake of NOTLD. 3D or not, it just wasn't necessary to make another.
