Derek Magyar (Enterprise), Gloria Votsis (Dead of Winter), Kavan Reece (Grizzly Park), and Gideon Emery all join Thora Birch in Nu Image's remake of Terror Train, which is now going under the title Train, according to STYD. The film, written and directed by Gideon Raff, will revolve around a group of American college athletes who find themselves on a dangerous train in Europe. Now here's a puzzling turn. I'm not against remakes per se, but when you are remaking an 80s slasher film, why on Earth would you change the title? Without the original title (which is probably more familiar to younger horror fans than the film itself), you lose most of your marketing edge... indeed, most of the commercial reason for remaking the movie in the first place. Bad idea!
