Horror legend George A. Romero is starting his world tour to promote his latest dead flick, Diary of the Dead, which will have it's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. At this past weekend's Comic Con IGN caught up with the director who revealed that he wants to remake Season of the Witch and has another zombie film in the works! Read on for the skinny.
FROM IGN:

"When asked which of his films he might like to see remade, he said that he thinks the 1972 film Hungry Wives, also known as Season of the Witch, remains relevant even after 35 years. "I think it could be pertinent in a different way," Romero said. "There are still women's issues and there are still jerky guys like [Joan Mitchell's] husband, still brutal - to say nothing of being insensitive, but actually brutal - so I'd like to remake it."
Part of the reason Romero said he would like to remake it was because of budgetary limitations he originally faced on the film. "We made it on 90 grand, we ran out of money, so we had to hurry up and finish it," he said. "I've always felt that it's not really a complete work. We sort of managed to get a rope around it and finish it in a halfway decent way, but it's the only one that I'd like to redo."
Romero also said he has plans for another zombie film. "I have one really balls-out zombie comedy that I'd like to do," he said. When pressed for more information, Romero continued, "I can't tell you. I really can't, because it's sort of a one-trick pony."
