While at the San Diego Comic Con we had the chance to talk with Leslie Bibb, star of both Trick 'r Treat and Lionsgate's upcoming Midnight Meat Train. Inside you can read what she had to say about the film, which was helmed by Japanese Ryuhei Kitamura. The story features a commuter's run-in with a New York subway serial killer and a horde of subterranean cannibals.
MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN'S Leslie Bibb

The beautiful co-star of Lionsgate's MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN talked with B-D a bit about Ryuhei Kitamura's film technique and how the film looks, "
Our director (Ryuhei Kitamura), it was his first American movie... really he is genius, visually he's such an amazing director. The DP was incredible." In terms of how the movie unfolds, she says the pace and perspective make this film, "
It's slow methodical in a way that he (Ryuhei) creates suspense."
Bibb also tells B-D that she thinks Jone's character will be the new horror icon, "
Vinnie Jones as Mahogany is like Freddy, Jason, Pinhead... I really think he's the new icon. You really get invested in the characters."
When we were at the con we saw some Cannes footage, which was extremely gruesome, Bibb chatted about the gore in the film, "
I threw up in my throat when I saw one scene. [It's a] gruesome scene - a train with hanging bodies held from their Achilles (she motions to her wrists), cut here to here (motions from neck to crotch) and the blood that comes out of that, and the amount of blood… when you see it (makes 'oh my' face)." She continues, "
Behind him (Mahogany) dissecting people, there’s a scene where a girl is crawling away from him, covered in blood and he drags her… through the train. It was so gross."
