I think i finally figured it out... the only reason we can't figure out the story is because there isn't an offical one yet... it's not the case of whether theres a next apprentice theres a case of when. in the pic, with the chick in the chair with the contraption on the back, i don't think it's a real test. if Jill is running the game now then she'll need help. it's not a test to set something right, it's a test to join there/ her side.
