Today B-D stringer SpookyDan reported in from Dimension Panel, which also featured Frank Darabont's The Mist. Inside you can read about the clip and see what else they talked about. Adapted from a novel by Stephen King, the film hits theaters November 21. A freak storm unleashes a species of blood-thirsty creatures on a small town, where a small band of citizens hole-up in a supermarket and fight for their lives.

Up next, the Frank Darabont filmed adaptation of Stephen King's “The Mist”, which opened with Darabont screaming, “
This is a horrible and intense film!”
They played a clip featuring a group of people holed up in a building and then a kid getting attacked by The Mist, which looked pretty cool - and full of tentacles. A tense scene that has me anxiously awaiting the release of this film.
Drew Strewzen was onboard, he is the amazing artist who did the artwork for the film's poster and countless other movies. Darabont got the crowd cheering as he just ran down the resume of artwork that Drew had done in the past. Greg Nicotero was there to discuss the FX work, and mainly spoke about how he got to keep a lithograph of an original “The Thing” poster that Strewzen had created for the opening of the film, which highly features his artwork.
Actor Thomas Jane said “
I can compare this to being seven years old and seeing Alien for the first time. Not knowing anything about it except for the poster of the cracked egg, then going in and being blown away! This is the best God Damned thing I have ever been in, and I have been in some good things!”
Based on a novella by Stephen King, it seems very odd to me that they are shrouding this film in secrecy. They even went so far as to screen the questions that the fans asked, and warned that “
We will not discuss plot!”
THE MIST hits theaters November 21.
