First seen on Bloody-Disgusting this past Wednesday, today Lionsgate has provided is with the first look at the hi-res domestic teaser for Saw IV, which hits theaters October 26. this poster is DIFFERENT than the one featuring Jigsaw's head in a scale. Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw's latest grizzly remains and piecing together the puzzle. However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.

I did like the scale, but I like this better. And I like a lot better than the other poster that featured the dinner plate setting.

It's an alright poster, and this one actually does spell out 4 like the sequence of others, only in roman numerals. With all the news on Saw lately, I'm way too anxious now and it's still 3 months away :(

Eh, it's okay, nothing special

I can't help but think of Admiral Ackbar everytime I see that tagline. If they stick with it, it's gonna make me not take this movie seriously at all.

Lot better than the scale. But they honestly need a new tagline. Maybe for the scale poster,"Heads will roll."

I'm starting to think that both posters really mean 'it's a trap', unless they're just messing with our minds.

The much simpler roman numerals is way better than the scale poster.

I said the other poster was clue for the ending. Now this one is clue how the movie will start. If u look closely the bottom of the scissors theres stiching on them. So some one stich his neck. Now this is wut I heard from a friend that got info from the film. A special doctor stiches him up. Doctor that survied a trap. Now this wut a friend told me. But if its true it sounds good

lolz the funniest thing about this poster is that its kind of wrong... when the scissors are open leik that the V shape the end shouldnt be closed lolz. it should be open ready to cut lolz, thats the only problem with this poster though.

actually if u ask me it would of looked better if the bottom was open. not would it make it only look real id give the affect.

but i always thoguht the dinner table set was the best.... they should of doen that one, thats the best poster i think i've ever seen... well maybe not against saw 3's but ye still damn good thou.

chrisby

well, nah it bet saw 3's now i look at it lolz.

the scissors shouldn't be open, those are surgical scissors and that's the way they're made. as for dr. gordon coming back, i'm thinking the same thing after watching the end of 1, there's no way they wouldn't have at least a story as to what happened to him.

Wow! That clips cool, it looks alot more gritty and back to basics like the first saw. Although it's odd that no tapes are used and there doesnt seem to be any logic to it like the other traps. Maybe it's because it's still being cut though and we have to see it in context to the rest of the film. I have a feeling saw 4's going to be very very different!

If someone would take the time to account for the directionality of the blood spatter, the smudging in the upper right corner of the tray bottom, the smudge on the rim on the very right about one third from the top of the tray, hat print of some sort in the upper left hand corner, and the fibers and what seems to be tissue in the workings of the surgical scizzors, a lot more clues could be unearthed. Observe, people.

Excuse me, I meant to say "that print of some sort", not "hat print of some sort". Yea, hats don't usually leave residual patterns.

Additionally, although this may not be as accurate as some would wish, John's head seems to weigh about a pound and a half less than the average adult male human head (according to my research). I could be wrong, just throwing it out there. Also, his bandage is still on... And doesn't appear to be bloody. That could mean several things. It could mean his head was placed in the scale unprofessionally, it could mean that something killed him or stopped him from bleeding, and then replaced the bandage for aesthetic purposes. Or, it could simply be a slip-up by the creators of this poster.

are u all forgetting somthing???? why are u making a big deal out of this??? in the first saw cover they had an eye, the original not the rebith. which had nothing to do with the sotry, in number 2 they had to fingures which also had nothing to do with the story and in number 3 they had 3 teeth, why are u saying that these have somthing to do with the story when clealy none in the past have!!!!! mayeb they're just liek that because thats what 3 was based on kinda thing!!!!!

chrisby

seriously get over it!!!! and start thinking about the new information we can actually review.

Apparently Saw 3 almost did have somthing to do with it's poster. In the early stages they had a trap where somone had wires running through their teeth and had to pull thier teeth out to escape, but it was scrapped because they said it wasn't looking very good and they couldn't get the right kinda shots inside the mouth. I think the idea was later turned into Troys trap with the similar "pulling chains" out theme. So yeh that would have almost been the first time the poster related to the film!

well looking at the two of them I would have to say that this one is better but then again on http//:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saw_IV they say that there is an autopsy scene on Saw 4 maybe thats why Jigsaw's head is in the scale...
